Around SBN: Four TCU Football Players Among 17 Arrested In Drug Ring

Lets be realistic

The celtics are struggling. its clear to anyone who has seen what they are capable of and then watched us lose to the likes of the lowly nets. Morale is low, chemistry is iffy, age is starting to show in the legs of our beloved big three. Its hard to say whats in store for the rest of this season, and next year etc.

But we need to remember who we are rooting for. True celtics fans, who root from the heart, who have been here since the days of old, through the downs of the last decade, we have been here to SUPPORT this team. Those who see failure in a team that is already going to the playoffs is just plain ignorance. I watched every single game, year after losing year, because i love the celtics. plain and simple.

And to be honest I am begining to lose faith in the celtics blog. i have read fanpost after fanpost, downing this team of ours in thier time of struggle. its disapointing that so many so called fans can say the team they suposedly root for is garbage, or this or that and the rest of it.

The definition of a fan is as follows: an enthusiastic devotee, follower, or admirer of a sport, pastime, celebrity, etc.

i dont see devotion, i dont see admiration, i dont see enthusiasm (except maybe for the negatives)

Being realistic the Celtics are seriously not themselves, and its an issue. but encouragement and hope is what we should all have, at least those of us who are true celtics fans.

Stop complaining, we have a team capable of great things, have a little faith, and be fans.

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

Nice Post

You are right, and I hated all the posts to trade Ray. All the posts for young talent makes me sick. Because that’s not the state of the team right now. It won’t be until maybe 2011. The state of the team is iffy. We are not where the Cavs are record wise, but in the mix with all the others.Magic,Hawks,Denver,Jazz, Mavs. The league is stacked. All the teams can win the championship this year. 1-4 in each league can win. Two goals this year. Either banner 18,or the Lakers lose.

My sentiments too, Cran

I’m not with the boooooing crowd and don’t think that’s what helped the win tonight.
The name-calling and bashing really get to me too. Maybe the positive ‘supporters’ of our team can start speaking up more and turn around CB a bit and make it a place we aren’t always having to read negative put downs of our team and players. To read about analysis and basketball without the extreme negativism….oh how nice that would be.

Seems that the boos got the players thinking about how poorly they are playing

Nothing like a little motivation from the home fans to get the team’s ass in gear. That happened tonight. They play like crap, people pay their hard earned money, the team deserves to get booed. It’s simple.

celtics

A little criticism doesnt hurt sometimes, It got them going last night. They are clearly not as energetic as 2 years ago. Whether or not they can be ready for the playoffs, in a few weeks is questionable. They have to put out hard every game, when it starts, thats why they are getting the big bucks. Like former coach Tommy H. says, they have all of the off season to rest. I say rest KG, Allen, and Pierce till about a week before it starts, and play the other guys, they need the experiance. And I agree that we need to support them always, but they need to show they are deserving of it. If they want to win #18, they are going to have to bust there ass to get it, you can bet the other top teams are going to.

youre right

but there comes a time where criticism turns into full out bashing, and to me the bashing has been going on for quite a while. the celtics need to kno the fans are behind them 100% no matter what happens. resting the big three until a week before the playoffs seems rather foolish to me, as of late it seems that the starting line-up (not including rondo) have been struggling alot more than the bench. our bench has been producing ona consistant basis, that shouldnt be our biggest concern, we need to keep the starters going, getting there flow but also be played in moderation. when helathy we are the deepest team in the NBA hands down, we just need to have a little faith and hang in there, and come playoff time im sure we willsee quite a showing
