So what do we do next year?

If Wyc will allow the the same money, we will have around 22 million to throw next year.

Can we sign Ray for around 5 million?

Do we keep Quisy or Nate?

Can we sign who/what we need for around 10 million?

Most of the big names are looking at player options of 17 million + so I doubt we will landing Chris Bosh and using KG mentorship to groom him into the defensive monster KG used to be. (hint hint nugde nudge)

What are our rebuild options? Rondo is great, but he needs players that can keep up with him and not two steps out of the glue factory. It pains me to say this, but we had our shot and unless we have a little luck and a four leaf clover of a miracle our window is not only shut, but our fingers got caught in it.

the Celtics are already over the cap next year, the cap is going to be around $53 million, Celtics have $63 million in salaries committed. you get the MLE for about $5.8 that could be used on one player or split among several.

Depends on the playoffs

If a miracle happens, and we make some noise, you reset for another run next year.

More likely we go out in the first or second round and then you start breaking the team apart. Put Perk on the block. See if you can move PP at the trading deadline. See if you can pry CP3 away for Rondo+. The point is to find the elite talent that can lead you back to the title, while gathering assets.

What do we do next year? What the Redksins just did a week ago. It wont get the Redskins into the plsayoffs next year but they started rebuilding with new blood. Like they say: “Out with the old, in with the new”. NBA is a business; No time for love affairs. I just hope it doesnt take us another 20 years, but you can be usre of this: The more we wait, the longer it will take. This is not trigonometry; its simple arithmetics. Seriously though, there is one thing wrong with this team right now, that’s age!!! More specifically Paul Pierce. He is our captain and main scorer and he is a shell of what he once was. His knees are shot and he has no laterall movement, cant even get to the free throw line anymore(refs lost respect for his game). It’s really sad but the only thing that can save us is if he retires or accepts a bench role next year and we can sign a big name FA like Joe Johnson or Chris Bosh. I seriously have my doubts that that will happen though. Might be another 20 years but 2008 was def worth it. Will never forget and I pray to God the Lakers will never catch us!!!!!!

We get players like Ray, Pierce, and even KG to take a pay cut to bring in some younger blood with rebounding skills. We trade away Sheed, sign quis and nate. That’s a start!
