a move has to be made in the offseason
First off, we already made a mistake by not making a trade before the deadline. I would be open to trade anyone on the team in the right deal. Either kg or paul pierce need to be traded. I would like to resign ray allen next year and would pay him up to $10 a yr for the next two years if needed. But either way we need to trade one of the other big contracts to have some flexibility. I hope by now everyone sees that its not simply only us getting healthy but they age has kicked it and the big three are no longer the big three.
KG's intensity and defense is the reason we won the championship, but he has definetly regressed since his injury last year. Im afraid this is the KG will will have the next few years. He is still valuable but not the presence on offense or defense. Therefore we will not be able to move him and will large contract.
The only other option is one that a lot of celtics fans dont want to hear. Paul Pierce i believe needs to be moved. I dont believe in all this loyalty. This is a business and when its time to cut ties then do it. If we traded him in the deadline for say iguadola and dalembert we would be in a much better situation this year. We should have tried to trade pierce and perk for amare. Or even this off-season sign and trade bosh for piece and perk. We need to start thinking about the future and that means get younger players that can work with rondo. If we stay loyal to pierce we will not win for at least another 5 years.
As for offseason resigning. I would like to keep nate for the right price and sign finley to veteran minimum. Other than that let ta,marquis, scal and sheldon walk. Marquis cant move him feet on defense. He is a terrible perimidor defender. I dont mind sheldon on the glass but doc just wont play him.
Either way something needs to be done in order to keep this team as a contender and not go back to rebuilding mode.
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

We did make a trade at the deadline, but it was minor.
KG is untradeable – too much money owed to him and he’s clearly still a huge injury risk. Wyc won’t sign off on moving Pierce – he wants him to retire as a Celtic.
We made a mistake by not moving Ray’s huge expiring – now it just expires and we get NOTHING to show for it. In all honesty, we will resign Ray because we really have no other options. We have no cap flexibility. We made our bed, we need to lie in it now.
Rondooooooo
Wyc is a loser he isn't GM and he doesn't have any NBA experiance I hope Danny has control
We may have to make major moves, Pierce is NOT untradeable! NO PLAYER IS EVER UNTRADABLE IF THEY WERE WHY WOULD THEY EVEN BOTHER TO PLAY HARD? OK PIERCE YOU ARE GUARANTEED TO GET 20 MILLION NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU LOSE! HERE YOU GO HAVE ALL THE CASH! LOL COMPLETE B.S. NO WAY PAL! PLAYERS HAVE TO EARN THERE FAT CHECKS! I AM UNEMPLOYED AND THEY WILL BE TOO IF THEY ARE NOT GIVING 110% END OF STORY!

Trading Pierce
I agree Trading Pierce, is the most logical thing to do if we are serious in getting anything valuable in return. He is the youngest of the Big 3 and seems to be declining at an increasingly faster rate than his 2 counterparts. Ray and KG!……KG at least had a major injury, as excuse for his decline.
I’m afraid not trading pierce due to loyalty (which I completely understand) could ultimately put this team in a position like the Pistons are in now; holding onto the past a little to long, and trying to go towards the future, but are stuck with aging broke down, players and there contract.
Thinking about it , it would be a lot easier to bring in someone who would be the #1 option offensively and having KG and Ray as sidekicks,…rather than to get rid of KG or Ray and try and have that player play alongside Paul.
I dont know if Paul can slide over to that 2nd fiddle position, and compliment someone else, like KG and Ray have for him. sadly I dont think he can. unless he changes a few things in his game and how he plays.
Trades
I agree. This is a business. It’s time to move every asset on the roster and add to Rondo and Perk.

C's must start to build for the future..
since the window to win a title with the big 3 (if we do not win the title this year) will be nailed shut.
We have a young core of Perk, Rondo, Robinson and Daniels that we start to build around after this season.
The C’s should not resign Ray and use any left over $$$ of his we have under the cap to sign a young prospect.
Pierce and Garnet still have some trade value and the C’s should try to shop them for legit younger players or prospects if they can.
We must try to move Rasheed since his purpose is to help put a team over the top, since we will not be in title contention probably in the next few years (if we do rebuild) his service is no longer needed.
It would be nice to try to trade Baby for a more legit power forward who is longer and can finish offensively around the rim.
I would resign Williams and of course would not resign Scal.
The C’s have a lot of work to do the next few years if they want to quickly rebuild and not go through the long non championship drought years we suffered after the late 80’ C’s team clung too long onto the big 3 of that era.
The building blocks of rebuilding this current C’s team should and hopefully will start this upcoming offseason.
Perk, Rondo, Robinson and Daniels are not a core
They are trade chips we can use to find the next elite Celtics talent.
Every team.....
must have a core and like it or not Perk, Rondo ,Robinson and Daniels is our only core players.
I agree though these players can also be used as trade chips also.
Rondo
is the Celtics future, not a trading piece.
NBA DRAFT
Please Boston Celtics Draft Paul George of Fresno State… he is a Young Paul Pierce with a little more defense
the reason
Utah scored the last seven points of the first half, then the first nine of the third quarter to regain the lead and held off the Celtics the rest of the way.
