WHATS HAPPENED TO PERK?
Ok. I know that asking this, people will say what do you mean, perk is the same hes always been. Hes no superstar, just our decent solid guy in the middle. But I see something disturbingly different. The Perk of two years ago would step on the court and look as if he was about to eat the first kid he saw, while lately, he just has this look of utter loss on his face. I truly believe that this underlines the far bigger problem on this team, the fact that apathy and lack of hustle seem to have taken over the core of these Cs. Perk of 2 years or even last year was always running up the flor, fight for loose balls and making anyone who entered the paint pay with a few black and blues. AND NOONE GOT THE AND ONE AGAINST HIM. EVER. While hes never been a great offensive talent, I always saw him as the epitome of what Celtic basketball is. No frills, hard nosed, stand diving basketball. but it seems something (or someone who might play his position) has really sunk a attitude of "oh well" into him it seems. I know what I think did it, and I trult believe it cant be fixed this year (is there anyone who doesnt find Davis's hustle, Williams willingness to do anything or Scals grit infectious) but they need to admit and accept exactly what has been causing that with this group. Id bet my paycheck Ive got my finger on what it is, but what does evreyone else think?
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

Here's what it is
The Big 3 are old but they all have the ability to be extremely effective as long as they arent worn down when the playoffs start. They all realize this and as a result arent pushing themselves as hard as they once would in order to preserve their bodies. Perk, is used to looking to the big 3 veterans for example and leadership and he is seeing what appears to be laziness from all three of them. It is affecting the entire team. To make matters worse the big 3 wont admit that they are trying to preserve themselves. When the playoffs come I know the vets will push themselves to their limit because they see their window closing. Hopefully the young guys will follow suit.
Perk in particular, in my opinion, has been playing poorly lately because of the lack of effectiveness of other key players, his work ethic is good but hes not getting the easy looks he was getting in the beginning of the season when the big 3 were fresh. Most dissapointing in my opinion has been KG’s lack of leadership and confidence, even if he is not playing well he can still command enough repect to be a vocal and intense emotional leader

No, it's not Sheed
I’m sure it was the injuries of the starters and bench. It’s depressing to have so many out and never know when or if the player will be back. I think our starters getting injured repeatedly, it seemed, caused the whole team to go into a funk and depression.
