"Should our beloved C's pursue A.I.?"
So many finger-pointing has occured with the woeful losses our team has endured lately.
But one place where the finger-pointing really belongs to is our woeful bench.
Prior to Nate's arrival, we really didn't have any spark plug in our bench let alone a legit, consistent scorer.
Eddie House was merely a streaky shooter yet there were days when he doesn't shoot well (& that he's pretty limited unlike Nate) while TA is not really consistent with providing the spark [energy] we need off the bench.
But now that Nate is starting to blend with the C's, things are starting to look better. Still, we need to replace Scal & Shenden so as to become a true championship contender!
Indeed, let us not forget that we blew huge leads for a lot of the games we lost mainly because our bench can't hold its own.
It then puts an enormous strain on our aging starters unlike 2 years ago (or even last year before KG went down) whereby our bench blew the lead our starters built, but our starters were able to get it back & win the game.
Nowadays, it's different as our beloved team has aged, it's harder now for our starters to be competetive when down 6-10 points entering the 4th quarter.
And so, the main culprit then for our woes is our unreliable bench.
But that can be fixed with the addition of A.I. & hopefully, a big man who doesn't have to be a scorer, but can rebound well since Sheed is also inconsistent at this stage of his career. Is there someone out there available? But please, not Tony Battie. We had him when he was younger & he sucked big-time, how much more now that he's old? Also, not Mikki Moore!
And though there's so many baggage with A.I., the guy obviously can still score as evidenced by the few games he played in Philly let alone his showdown with Kobe.
Let's face it Celtics fans, our bench really needs another firepower aside Nate, & another rebounder which Scal & Shenden can't provide! If we don't get both, we'll really be toast come the playoffs
In essence, obtaining Nate was a great deal for us after all as not only is he a reliable scorer & spark plug but more importantly (especially for Ainge), it didn't cost us much unlike any "blockbuster deal."
Well, pursuing A.I. will not be costly too let alone that the guy can still ball superbly just like our aged Big 3 & that winning motivates him. For sure, he will get his act together if he comes to Boston as it's his last chance for a championship & that there's only less than half the season remains. Meaning, it's easier to get focused now for the final stretch of the regular season versus early in the season.
Please Boston, pursue A.I. & hopefully, another big man that can rebound well. The upsides in obtaining A.I. far outweighs the negatives - it's probably our one last chance for a ring this year.
Please Ainge, the top brass, the Big 5 & the entire Celtic team, and all C's fans, let's woo A.I. to join our team just as to how Cleveland [its players & fans] does now with the Bg Z. The implications of exiting early in the playoffs this year is just too enormous!
Meaning, if we exit early, then our team ultimately becomes unattractive to the "2nd tier" of free agents thinking that Boston's time has passed & thus, they'll go to other teams who has a chance like the young Hawks, Orlando, & etc.
But if we advance far into the playoffs or better yet, win it all, then guys like T-Mac, Boozer, Agent O, & etc. may come to our team next year for say, 1 year, cheap contract just to win a ring since these guys also wants to win soon being middle-aged themselves.
Hence, we really need to get 2 more solid guys to replace Scal & Shenden to become championship material! What do you caring Celtics fans out there think?
Ultimately, we LOVE our team, we do have a chance to win it all this year contrary to what the rest of the basketball world thinks. But we do need to shore-up our bench a bit more so as to make it happen.
Long live the C's!!!
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

He wasn't released by the Sixers
And since March 1 has passed, he can’t play in the playoffs at this point.
lol, this point seems to be lost on a lot of people while wildly and retardedly speculating about AI

Oooppsss,
Thanks for the info., didn’t know that Mar.1 is a deadline in the NBA. Also,I thought that AI was released by the Sixers. Now, who can we get for additional scoring for our bench? Anyone available out there?
Marbury!
Isn’t that the C’s are going for? Washed up players politely referred to as “veterans”?
I heard Brian Grant does a wicked shimmy shake down in the post these days
