Interview on 950 KJR (Seattle)
The folks in Seattle don't have a pro team anymore, so they keep close tabs on former U of Washington stars like Nate Robinson. KJR AM Radio asked me to join them on their podcast to talk Nate and the Celtics.

you'll have good news
for the fine folks in radioland in Seattle….the favorite son of U of W has done well…but it’s not as if he played for the Orange…although I’m sure it’s a fine regional school….
A fine regional school
As a UW alum I don’t take much offense to this statement but many others I know would. Check out the school’s ratings academically and then come back and talk. Just because you don’t know West Coast teams don’t assume your East Coast perspective is correct. Oh and favorite son……maybe Brandon Roy would be a better fit for that title. Rondo has had the team in just as many tourney’s as Boeheim, a much more accomplished coach in the years since he has been coaching them. Not trying to start a manhood measuring contest, just trying to show someone that their own bias is baseless.

Jeff, the author of this post, and I are Orangemen …Jeff recently …I on the other hand gradulated many moons ago…it was very inside humor..sorry…and sure UW alum should be proud of their academic ratings… but the year I graduated we were named the number #1 party school in American by Playboy Magazine..so we have that going for us….
No apology necessary
Thank you anyway though :) In our part of the country we are quite used to east coast bias. I grew up a Cal fan and ended up going to UW for school. So most people on the east coast never see our college players actually play except in the tourney. It usually leads to people being surprised at who went to our schools or the school’s history. That’s why I tried not to make it into a big deal. At least you had plenty of fun! Not like my UW degree would do me any better than yours anywhere except Washington.
