One Blogger's Experience Behind The Bench
Nick from North Station Sports was able to get seats right behind the Celtics bench in Philly the other night. Needless to say, he was very excited.

Very Cool
Don’t make eye contact with the Beast.
"Do you know that nonbelievers create the most positive energy?" Davis said
wow, thanks for that, I almost forgot how much i like this team, player to player, i love these guys, even if they don’t win it all. I have been saying since half way through that first season that is my favorite sports team of all time. (grew up with the 80’s celtics, but as a young teenager I didn’t get, didn’t appreciate it, I thought every team had a guy like mcchale to throw the ball to in the post, lol, i really did) Nice to get up close and think about them as people again, young guys working their tails off at a silly game that somehow, for a couple of hours a night, means everything.
Congrats!!!! you never said the cost???
Saw TA at an OKC game a few years back …. we made eye contact (he was in street clothes then) I had a Celtic hat on and he pointed at me and we smiled …he seemed cool. Shook DA’s hand and got Tommy’s autograph plus a highly prized Marcus Banks autograph (LOL)
You are so right they….. they do look different and they are big…..
Congrats again….good story – well written
Is it Soup Yet?
Heh
It’s good to know that he thought the Celtics’ were playing like they cared.
Overall, very good article. I remember being at the Mavs game (yes, I won those tickets from CelticsBlog), and from where I sat, I was closer to the Mavs bench than I was the Celtics bench, but not behind either. Oh well.
Still, glad Nick got to see a win.
Great experience and report!
Makes you want to be behind the bench once in your lifetime too.
Definitely some interesting insight, funny to learn that Ray keeps talking to himself and that Perk is so focused. We knew KG was in another dimension already. And Pierce seems to be in a good mood all the time.
What a great night and a great writeup!
KG sounds scary as imagined, Pierce the true lover of the game, pretty much everybody as imagined—except Rondo chatting with Doc all the time. I didn’t expect that, but I imagine Rondo’s learned to manage upward.
Thank-you
Jeff, thanks for giving my story a great plug here. I am so honored that you liked it.
This was the experience of my life! I can truly say that the only thing that equals the experience is the opportunity to share it with all of you die-hard fans. Possibly more importantly, the fact that you all enjoyed it.
Thanks so much to everyone at Celticsblog for taking the time to read my dream come true!
