No chance of #40 being retired anytime soon

good lord….besides Batman that list of players all added together couldn’t make 40 points in 40 games

Is it Soup Yet?

He had 4 great seasons with the C's

Wish we had him in his prime now!!! Check out his stats with the link below. Didn’t he go back to Europe after 4 years or something?

Miss the Radja

Solid shooting pf, one of the first euros that could play NBA ball, detlef shrimpf, vlade divac, sauronus maursalonis, rony siekaly and Dino radja were the first class of euro ballers IMO

I gotta say

7 Players have worn that number and only about 13 years between them? That’s an average of slightly less than 1.5 years per player.

Not that I think it means anything bad for Finley. : )

calbery chaney was cool cause his name was calbert chaney. its odd that no one from the 50s, 60s or 70s ever wore #40

Understand the sentiment but he never really did play a minute

I don’t disagree, though I don’t quite agree either

the fact that he died a celtic

and was a good natured kid with tons of potential should keep anyone from wearing that number. same with reggie lewis.
