Keys to the championship.

Does anyone else realize that the finals, which will most likely be the Lakers again in the west, is going to be a cake walk in the park compared to coming out on top in the eastern conference? Honestly, as an all around basketball fan and Celtic faithful, I will say our best bet for going all the way this year all depends on the lower seeded east teams. The only team I would say and I think most of you agree are any cause for concern for us in the first round is Milwaukee, and not because I don't think we can be them, but because I have no doubt they can take it to seven games and drain much needed energy for the next rounds.

Our best bet at banner 18 all depends on if any of the bottom 4 teams can pull off the upset and bang out  CLE, ATL or ORL first round. I say if any of those other top east teams are eliminated off the bat, that will allow the C's (considering they win round 1 of course) to cruise through round 2 and maybe even get a little extra rest and regain some extra momentum for the conference finals. If they make it that far, no matter who we play, the conference finals will be the biggest bump on the road to banner 18.

As for the Lakers, as proved in our championship battle with them, the match-up is simply in our favor. Since we beat them in the finals, their only worthwhile victory over us was Christmas of last year. The Celts were in the midst of a 19 game win streak and the Lakers were still PO'd and had so much to prove that game. The second game of last year, and first game against them this year, were both well in the C's grasp, but were lost due to the infamous Kobe buzzer beatin bullshish. Finally, our second game against them this year, granted they had no Kobe, was an easy win AT the Staples Center, and if those stats don't cool your nerves just ask yourselves, "Are the Lakers REALLY better then us? REEAALLLY???"

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.
