its interesting to think of ainge vs riley, one was a great coach hall of fame coach and mind..    the other a good player on a great team. smart knew his role.

pat riley.. i dont like this guy.. for a couple years they sucked. he was happy drafting wierd players..  signing dleague quality players. joel anthony?? quinn?  then when wade fell in there lap he quickly messed up the next 6-7 years by  trading  caron butler. lamar odom. brian grant for shaq. thats  one year after they were the most surprising team in the playoffs. one of the most promising teams. a team that could be playing cleveland every year in the east finals... can you think how scary a team with butler, odom, wade and who ever they could have signed and traded for. chalmers was a good pick.  lets be honest  miami wont deserve to keep wade this off season.  so back to my point. pat riley fires svg to coach the team. signs posey, mourning, walker, williams, payton. then quits (again, cause they start playing bad) and gives a rookie coach zero chances of winning. joel anthony,  carlos arroyo. maglore. james jones. jermaine oneal. q richardson. come on. the fans down in that area have to be losing intrest in this team. as good as wade is. why would he stay?????  i lived in miami for a few years, i couldnt take it i had to move back!

ainge.. i'm not sold on his choices all the time. trading walker for basically nothing. trading a pick that could have gotten rudy gay, brandon roy for s.telfair, lafrentz. WOW. drafting gerald green.. but after thinking about his work. drafting guys like d.west. t. allen. al jefferson. perkins. rondo. gomes. powe. davis... if you add roy or gay to this team?? its a good to great team for 6-7 years. now dont get me wrong getting kg. ray ray worked out. and it didnt stop there. signs posey. house. brown. wallace. finley. daniels. s.williams. getting nate robinson. he is trying to put a winner out there. sticks by his coach, wether he is winning alot or losing alot. i've been a life long celtic fan. and there has been alot of mistakes pitino, ml carr. (thats all i'm saying)

but ainge could pull a riley and bring in guys like anthony. quinn, jones, arroyo, richardson, maglore, cook, wright, beasley, oneal and tell you they have a chance. to beat lakers, magic, hawks, cavs.. so i hope after this season ends, finals appearence is possible.. ainge doesnt turn into riley. i hope he keeps bringing guys like wallace, etc. who are the best available, and win or lose they can say they tried!!  dont bring in a no name coach if doc leaves. get a jvg. some one you can believe knows what he is doing. draft two players who end up being a davis, powe, gomes steal in round 2. get a perk, aj, west style player in round 1. productive off season please!!!!
