Woj: Celts Beat Down Dwight
Wojnarowski is absolutely killing it. First the epic take down article on LeBron, now Dwight is in his sights. A snippet: "Together, these Celtics had come for Howard with downright dour dispositions. As Howard delighted himself with an embarrassing pregame dance and shake on the Magic bench, the Celtics had a good sweat going down the floor, a frontline of fighters waiting to go to work on the heavy bag."

Not Growed Yet
It’s notable that, long as they have been in the League, both Dwight and Bron are still getting by mainly on their physical gifts. Works over 82 games, but so far in the playoffs, Boston was able to take away Lebrons favored driving lanes and kept DH back form the rim. Neither had an answer.
You’d think that after last season’s playoff disappointments they’d have got back to the gym and added to their arsenal of moves. Well, here they are again and the results are no different. Its not over yet, of course, but, it would seem in the case of these two, being good as they are has been good enough. Unlike, say Rondo, who keeps working on that shot.
I think its unfair
I’d say Lebron has been working on his game – his ability to control end of games and his shooting (40% as rook, to 50% now)… Dwight’s D has gotten better, but…
neither has made a leap in ways that could have brought their offensive game to the next level…
Dwight’s post game is TERRIBLE when you look at his tools it only makes it more glaring. Lebron can’t catch and shoot – something that would let him play off ball – and has no back to the basket game (which leaves him guard-able by the average sized wings.)
Maybe Woj is just pissed off that he keeps getting
IT WRONG!
Maybe he will start picking the Celts?!
Ah forget it we are better off with the chip on our shoulder

DW
The thing I’ve learned over the last two seasons and postseasons: Dwayne Wade is the league’s best player. Maybe not always its most valuable, but as far as being smart, driven, and looking for ways to improve his game, the guy is the best.
I concur
He really deserves pieces around him. I once thought it wouldve most logical for dwade and lbj to join forces. But dwade is 2nd fiddle to noone, and I don’t think there would be enough touches for both, they both do their best work with the ball. It could happen both of themtogethet, but it would not be so easy.

Stat geeks beware
What stat geeks like Wojo and Hollinger don’t take into account is that statistics are based on past performance. And past performance doesn’t always indicate the future. Hollinger is okay as long as the teams that enter the playoffs are the same teams they were during the regular season. But throw in injuries or an older team like the Celtics sand bagging waiting for the playoffs and geeks are at a loss. This year’s Celtics remind me of the 1995 Rockets. All the “experts” read the regular season stats and dismissed them to. People had them going out in the first round and picked against them every round of the playoffs including their sweep of the Shaq Penny Magic. Hollinger and Wojo like all stat geeks fall too much in love with their statistics and don’t know when to ignore them.
And like Rudy T said about the Rockets back in 1995, “Never underestimate the heart of a champion”.
Howard is break dancing like Lezbro now???
What is with these ringless Superstars…do they know they are making clowns out of themselves?!?!?
