Scalabrine Anyone?

Hate to see Brian Scalabrine sitting in his civies on the sideline.  Still, he's involved, never looking away, rising up to encourage and celebrate his team mates.  He's a team player.  Most of our guys are, I believe.  I realize it's not enough just to be a "team player."  You've got to fit the schemes and strategies established by the coach.  His credentials IMHO:  Scals has abundant playoff experience, works tirelessly as a defender, and shoots well from the outside (when allowed to establish game rhythm).  Love to see him in green.  Believe he'd provide a lift.  Red and Green go well together.

Not a big fan of Scal...

But we could use his 6 fouls especially if Baby is out and the C’s play a very physical game as I expect and hope they will play .

If Doc orders him to bang and muscle the Orlando front line, I would not mind a bit.

Banging

Yes, we could use a little of that.

Somebody define "good"

Good as in athletically superior? Perhaps. Good as in fitting in to certain strategic situations at certain points of the season? Not so sure.

He's good if we need a fatguy who has alot of fouls to waste and angry from being benched

if he can Hammer Duwight a couple a times and even up the fouls it would be great! First lets get him a set of Kurt Rambis Glasses!

Glasses

He won’t require glasses to find Howard.

Did u see howard hack KG' eyes?

All C’s players need protective goggles for this one!

Threes

Naw. If allowed to get into game rhythm, a very good shooter. But that may not be possible, I understand. I’m hopeful Nate gets more time. Love to see him go off. Could use it.

Maiming Howard, Lewis, or Nelson is not in Scal`s nature...

Even if it might represent Scal`s only opportunity to “earn” the $15M Boston wasted on him.

With Daniels out, he'll be in a uniform next game.

Yes, intimidation is the key to domination.

I love Scal

He is willing to do whatever is asked of him. I also think we could use his six fouls, especially on Howard. Maybe they are afraid of Howard’s use of elbows, though, as Scal suffered multiple concussions last year….and Howard is a dirty player who wouldn’t think twice about intentionally hurting him!

Scal is a good defender

I don’t care what people say about Scal. Everyone in the Garden jumps to their feet when he sinks a 3 or takes a charge, but then those same people cheering him on go to the boards and trash talk him. Yeah, he’s no KG, but sometimes he gives the Celtics that extra spark they need off the bench. People ripped on Walker, but as soon as he gets his feet on the court in NY, he scores 20+ points 2 games in a row. I’m not saying start Scal, but give the man a chance to throw down a couple threes and draw a few fouls from Howard. I think it will throw off Orlando’s defense. When everyone is focusing their time on Rondo, no one will be guarding Scal in the corner. When no one steps in to draw a foul on Howard, Scal will be right their with his feet planted. He always plays hard whether or not the score board reflects his effort.

agreed

Scal minutes would be a plus for the crowd too

we need a psychological edge

Scal is like our mascot.

Scal should play..

I think the C’s can use him for hack-a-Howard strategy.

Scal...

Bad News—-Scal has lots of rust from not playing in ages.

Good News—-Scal is pretty much the same player, “rusty” or in a “competitive groove”.

Question; is Sheldon actually fatter than Scal?

Scal is listed at 230+ and sheldon is listed at 250lbs. Either way sheldon was looking lost out there and Scal is ready for some action!
