Rondo the X Factor in game 6

As you have heard by the now, the Celtics go as Rondo goes. Well this must be the case in game 6 tomorrow. Rondo has been good in this series, but Jameer Nelson has been torching him and the Celtics the past 2 games. I know Rondo hasn't been 100%, but he'll need to be if they want to close out on Friday. Lets comparre the 2 all star point guards in this series.

Pts.   Ast.   Reb.   Blks.   Stl.   Fg%   Ft%   3pt%   TO

Rajon Rondo           14.4   8.4    3.6      0.0     2.2    43%   57%   0%     2.6

Jameer Nelson       18.2   4.2    5.6      0.0     0.2    44%   86%   41%   3.8

As you can see, Jamer dominates in every aspect except assists and steals. If we want the Celtics to close out in game 6, Rondo must be more aggressive. I don't know about you, but when i watch the Celitcs and Magics play, Rondo attacks the basket much less than when he's playing another team. It could be because Dwight Howard is roaming the paint, heck, who wouldn't be scared.....But yea, we must see Rondo constanly atacking the rim, I mean, he can blow by ANYBODY in the league, so why not blow by Nelson? Rondo must also not let Nelson catch fire though. All defensive first team right?. So my predition for Rondo's stats is..

24 pts, 12 ast, 6 reb, 3 stl, Celtics win, advance to finals

Whats your prediction?

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

idk what will happen

but i do know what has to happen for us to win

there is three big key matchups for every game in the series. The team that wins two of them is very hard to beat and the team that has won all three matchups is unbeatable, they are

Rondo vs Nelson
Kg vs Lewis
Our Bench vs Their bench

Rondo can't make triple double against Howard

He’s too scared to get into the paint… I mean who wouldn’t be, knowing you’d get pummeled by Dwight.

Thats where its our job, as the crowd, to be loud, very loud, when there is a bad referee call and/or when Rondo gets taken out by Howard!

I wouldn't say he's too scared...

I don’t think Rondo is afraid of anyone. Does anyone remember his air jordan dunk over Howard last year? He is significantly faster and more agile than Howard, but Rondo keeps getting in foul trouble when he goes to the bucket. Jameer will set a moving screen or fail attempting to plant his feet and Rondo will get called for an offensive foul. It has happend so much in this series, I really think he is avoiding foul trouble because if he fouls out, it is going to be much harder to close out a game. Rondo can take a clothesline from Howard and still somehow mange to get up and shoot the free throws.

However, I do aggree that Rondo will be the deciding factor in the outcome of tonights game. The last two losses Rondo had a mediocre at best night. If he can keep the ball moving and make smart plays, I think they can close this series up tonight. Assuming Perk and KG play the defense they are known for… Just keep an eye on Reddick and Nelson beyond the line.

Dominates?

Rondo is beating him the 2 most important stats for a PG with less TOs.

He does have a more points than Rondo and higher FT%…

Rondo’s been more than fine in this series.
