NBA.com Contest: Win Free Stuff
Contest Info:
Over the next few weeks CelticsBlog readers will be able to compete in a number of contests. All you have to do is follow the provided links, come back here and leave your answers in the comments section. An NBA-hired PR firm will pick the winners at random and NBA.com will send you prizing ranging from pens to hoodies to yo-yos and everything in between.
Meanwhile, CelticsBlog will be competing with a number of other SBNation blogs to see who can come up with the most unique trivia, hardest questions, or most creative ways to promote their contests. At the end of four weeks NBA.com will pick their two favorites and pit them up against each other with some much bigger prizes at stake.
Warm Up Question:
It seems that NBA players are more stylish now than ever. In recent post game press conferences some of the game's biggest stars have looked as slick in their off-the-court clothing as they do driving the lane or knocking down three pointers.
Check out some of their threads at the links provided below and then come back and tell us who was the best dressed, who was the worst dressed, and why for each. Winners will be picked at random by the PR firm and be provided with some great gear courtesy of NBA.com. (One answer per person please)
Dwight Howard Press Conference
Stephen Jackson Press Conference
LeBron James Press Conference
Carmello Anthony Press Conference
Dwyane Wade Press Conference

Best Dressed: Stephen Jackson.
Worst: LeBron James.
Jackson: WHY? I liked the plaid shirt, plaid is one of my favorites, and i also liked how simple he kept it. Honorable mention: Dwyane Wade.
James: WHY? That white sweater was terrible. He’s Lebron, and he doesnt have to do anything fancy, and I think he over did it.
Hard decision because it looked like all of them were vying for worst dressed.
If I have to choose-
Worst Dressed- Dwight Howard. Just way too much going on with the Shoulder epithets, diagonal striped bow tie, yellow vest. He looks like he should be in a Michael Jackson video. Close second: Stephen “Used Car Salesman” Jackson.
Best Dressed- Lebron James. I think the shirt and tie with the sweater look classy.
Best: Stephen Jackson, simply dressed yet spiffy and not over the top. The white polo unbuttoned underneath really brings out the maroon and white checkered plaid button up. Classy.
Worse: Dwight Howard, well because all you need is a clown-nose Dwight, and face paint w/ that bright yellow vest and bow tie, you know where I’m going.
i hate kobe for sure
but seeing on LA times him wearing damir doma etc is mind blowing
was not really surprised by king james wearing rick owens cuz rick was hyped and becoming a big name, but damir doma? his stylist must be really working on it

The Carmelo Anthony link didn’t work for me either, so…..
Worst dressed: Lebron, close second Dwight. Both looked confused, not sure what image to project…mixed dress clothes with casual styles like they were the last clean things left in the closet
Best Dressed, Stephon Jackson, nice country club casual. Open throat shirt with plaid sports shirt…nice watch. Runner up: Dwayne Wade…no confusion there…nice casual outfit.
Worst/Best Dressed
BEST – Anthony at least matches.
WORST – Though Jackson looks like he found that jacket at a thrift shop, Dwight Howard looks like Cap’n Crunch without his hat on.
Oh – and your link for Anthony has a few characters on the end. Might want to fix that.
Best/Worst
Best: D Howard. Why? Good colors, bow tie is different and stands out in a good way. I like the badge and overall a very royal look.
Worst: D. Wade. Looks like a sponsor for NASCAR. Totally non-Miami, hillbilly look.
Pick Me!
Worst Dressed: Dwight Howard; The bright yellow vest under the dark blue jacket is gross. On top of all that, he’s wearing a vertically striped shirt with a similar colored but diagonally striped bow tie. He’s so enormous the shoulder epithets look ridiculous, and worst of all he has this gaudy gold emblem on the breast pocket. It’s like he sees Dwade dress up every press conference and decided to throw together as many clashing accessories as possible.
Best Dressed: D Wade, He knew his season was over, he was clearly dressed to go camping and fishing. He just didn’t think the heat would even win game 4 so thats the only change of clothes he brought to the arena. He planned on going straight on summer vaca, but instead had to make one more trip to Boston. Nice red flannel with a black vest. He has the matching black ear ring to go with it and a big ol’ watch. When playing the heat, theres nothing you’d rather see than Dwade ready for summer.
Best Dressed : Dwayne Wade – His getup was smart casual, not too over the top, but not too casual. The vest made the outfit, if he just wore the flannel it would be among the worst
Worst Dressed: Lebron James- Looks like he has a dress shirt and tie, and then a sweater his grandmother made for someone with a B in their name over it. Cream Sweaters and White dress shirts do not mix

Best: Dwade- Dwyane Wade always dresses to impress, this outfit was nice but I was more impressed by all of his o ther suits he wore in the heat-celtics series.
Worst: Lebron – I don’t like the white sweater, it looks too casual, and he needs a lineup!!! He has way too much fuzz around his head. He almost looks like a bum.
Best: Melo, Worst: Wade
I’m a style guy, I always try to put my best foot forward and am willing to take risks…
Best: Melo (LeBron is a close second). Love the matching lavender pinstrip with the french cuffed dress shirt. Very fashion forward, and most importantly not distracting.
Worst: Wade (Howard is a close second). Folks, stop drinking the cool-aid on this guys fashion sense, he looks like a lumberjack on a lunch break. Wade is considered a stylish dresser because he’s bold and makes style choices that could only fly in Miami, but let’s face it either the 80’s are making a huge comeback or this guys getting dressed in the dark. I mean, would you be caught in ANY of these outfits (funny enough selling him as a fashion mogul): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bLvvZjPpT8

well solely regarding to the outfits
best: lebron james
worse dwight howard
it is not easy to dress up for a basketball player due to the huge frame, muscle, etc
i like the simple shawl collar sweater on james. it is not a great look, but okay
the color combination on howard is simply awful
being a man having as wide shoulders as he do, the trench coat looks ridiculous too

On outfits alone
Best: Dwayne Wade
Worst: Lebron James
I like the plaid shirt under neath the black and red vest. it looks nice clean and casual for D Wade
I hate the Bill Cosby look on Lebron it just dosent feel right. it looks like he tried to spruce up his grandpa wardrobe and this is what he came up with
Mark Souza Jr.
Best: Carmelo Anthony. It’s tuned-in and different, but it compliments the man wearing it instead of overwhelming him.
Worst: LeBron James. Everyone already knows who he is; he doesn’t need to put his own initials on his retro-varsity sweater. When you’re the king, the Chosen One, the MVP, etc., it might be best to let someone else brag about you instead of bragging about yourself.
Give me some schwag!
Best: Dwayne Wade for rocking classy casual wear better than the rest
Worst: Dwight Howard for that awful, awful bowtie…

After the game dress!
Best: Stephen Jackson-casual, but he looked sharp: made him look good. Worst:Wade-this is no look, the watch doesn’t fit in;and looks like he is going biking.
