"Say Queens Bridge now Ron"...JVG
I want to start a petition that Jeff Van Gundy never gets another NBA coaching job...ever. He is a refreshing voice in sports where everything seems to be micromanaged and image conscious. Van Gundy's inside perspective and willingness to throw out honest (and hilarious) sentiment like he did last night seperates him from the pack.
It's obvious he loves the game of basketball and gets frustrated, as most fans do with the newer softer NBA 2.0. He calls out officials, players, coaches, co workers and identifies trends that are creating cracks in the foundation of the game he respects and loves. Plain and simple...he blew Ron Ron up on national television attacking his beloved "street cred" for flopping without fear of damaging his relationship with the player or the league. He just doesn't care and that makes him not only my favorite announcer (outside of TH and Mike of coarse) it makes him one of my favorite sports personalities. So go ahead..."Say Queens Bridge now Ron."...Classic!
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

Their trio is entertaining (With Mike Breen and Mark Jackson)
That is why I wanted them on the Finals instead of the one with Marv Albert. Mike Breen is obviously the serious one, with Jackson saying non-sense but laughable stuff, and Jeff providing humor and some hilarious-but-he-has-a-solid-point statements. Sometimes his rule change propositions are questionable, but when you come to think of his head coaching experience, he has a point. Unlike other announcers, he’s not afraid to be honest and says what he thinks about something or someone. Have you tried watching a blowout game where their trio are the announcers? They make watching that kind of games entertaining.

loved the quote from jvg. and its about time that some one questioned the flopping nature of these players..and i’m still saying he should replace doc if doc leaves, after they win the championship!
it was clear that rondo put a hand on him and pushed ron. BUT the reaction from ron was a clear flop like reaction. and if he didnt do the “i’m falling off the cliff” dance rondo wouldnt have gotten the T. Fisher flops or flairs ever shot that a celtic player is near him trying to get a foul. Fish maybe if you stood strong and shot the ball you would make one of them! pau’s constant crying. kobe’s arms in the air shouting at the refs. i cant stand the lakers. if it was perk or sheed they would have gotten T’d. LETS GO CELTICS! end it in LA! show the fans out there how a team is supposed to look and play! steal kim kardashian for me! and lets get this parade started!!!!
He called out Fisher too
When Fisher drew the three FT’s when Pierce went out to contest his shot, he called him out that he flops after every contested shot.
