I was just looking into the celtics Cap situation and just trying to see what is going on inside our front office. As many of you already know Paul Pierce has a player option on the last year of his contract worth a cool 21 million.

There is also a strong possibility that ray allen does not come back next year. The salary obligations for next year are   $63 million , as we all know that is way over the cap, (57 million)

Now getting to the good part, If Paul decides to get a longer deal with another team and ray signs with another team, and sheed retires we will be looking at a payroll of .... suspense.... around $36 million.

Now, getting lebron and wade or any other big time free agent will be hard, but the hidden surprise in this years free agent class is that, there are alot of really cheap and young talent that can be had. Nobody is talking about that because lebron and wade take up the headlines.

Danny needs some expiring deals, if he can get to this 36 million payroll than he can make a splash.

I think it would hurt alot of fans but, a trip to the lottery could possibly bring in a star player.
