free agent predictions...

i'm not sure every one has heard, but espn just told me for the first time that lebron, wade, bosh and some other no name players are free agents..i'm in shock! has anyone else heard this!?!?!?!?!!!

Star-divide

so here is how i think it all plays out.

cleveland gets- lebron, amare in a sign & trade involving hickson and/or anderson side show bob.

miami gets- wade, bosh.

new york gets- joe johnson, rudy gay, ty thomas

chicago gets- boozer,  salmons,  josh howard.

clippers make a strong offer to pierce, but end up resigning r.butler. signs jordan farmar and trade for beasley.

boston resigns pierce, ray, ta and signs mike miller. trades sheeeeeeds contract along with davis, and a future draft pick to new orleans for emeka okafor and julian wright.

nets get- lee, mcgrady, outlaw

toronto trades tickle-glue/turkulu/hedo/how ever you spell his name to golden state..

santa claus is a lie, your parents brain washed you.

shaq signs with the lakers for his final season.

iverson signs near christmas, (due to espn finding out that he was a fake santa in the philly mall) with a team that just lost its sg. but then doesnt finsh the season again.

yao comes back and is voted to the all star game even tho he doesnt deserve it.

dirk resigns with dallas, and is joined by channing frye, al harrington.

houston resigns scola...

big foot is found in portland, later csi finds out it was just joel przybilla and greg oden camping.

so who goes where?????

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

Really not much I disagree with.

…I think Johnson is going back to Atlanta though and I think Lee is staying in New York.

after hearing about that offer i’d go back to atlanta if i’m joe johnson also.. lee stays if they strike out with bosh & boozer.. boozer might be the one in miami also. bosh to me is the least important top guy out there. is he realy that good? kg frustrates him more then he bothers rashard lewis. so if i’m bosh i try to go to oklahoma city to play with durant and all those young guys. okc can offer the players they just drafted along if he wants a sign and trade

IF Lebron resigns with Cleveland

he will never win an NBA Championship. Nobody who is any good will ever sign to play in the worst city in the US. And before anyone disputes this ask yourself, IF YOU had the choice between LA, NY, Chi, Miami and Cleveland would you go there?

No.

Bosh – Houston
Wade – Miami
Boozer – Chicago
Lebron – NY Knicks
Amare St. – Miami
Joe Johnson – Chicago
Deng – Traded
P. Pierce – Celtics
Ray Allen – Celtics
Mello – Traded to NJ.
Dirk – I have no idea.

Cleveland

How quickly we forget that Cleveland won the most regular season games this past season. Had they not encountered a hot Celtics team and had Mike Brown not been at the helm, they may have well gone on to the NBA finals and put up a good fight against the Lakers. They still have the pieces to make a run at a title.

Yes, certain players in the NBA put a lot of value on city/lifestyle. But for some, that’s not a big factor. After all, during the season players spend a lot of time on the road, in practice, preparing for games and recovering after games (sleep/rest). Some are perfectly content playing wherever they can receive the most money and have a chance at winning. During the off-season, they can live in places like Malibu (Garnett), Vegas (Pierce), Dallas (Bosh) or Miami (Boozer). When they retire, they can live on the beach or in a Manhattan high-rise.

really?

How did CC Sabathia, Victor Martinez and Cliff Lee answer that question? They demanded trades out of the great city that rivers burn. Remember, in 2008 the Indians were picked to go to the WS by many and all of their stud players asked to be moved by the end of 2009.

Cleveland will never win bc nobody except Lebron wants to live there.

BTW the NBA off-season is 3 months. 75% of the year Lebron has to live in a freezing cold city with little to know culture, nightlife, very little diversity and no reasons to live in Ohio.

I just want an NBA reset shake up

I do think that pulling they guys together again is a mistake, we dont have many more options, but it was a 3 year window, now we push for four? It will be like last season without the hope.

Can't Disagree with this List

jdunn123’s list looks pretty solid.

Only disagreement I might have is Joe Johnson. Being from Atlanta, I can tell you he’s a money first guy. The Hawks can pay him more than any other team. Even though he dissed the Hawks fans during the Magic playoff series, he may just decide to cash in and remain a Hawk. And no, I don’t have any idea why the Hawks are offering him a max contract. He’s not a max contract player. He’s not a leader and never will be. And what the Hawks need more than anything is a leader in the locker room and on the court.

i dont think melo gets traded, denver may have put that tough statement out there. but they will get no one in return worth any value… actually one team has some pieces, but i hope it doesnt… until they near the trade deadline..

miami’s beasley isnt enough,

toronto has nothing to offer,

the clippers wont/shouldnt give up griffin or kaman for a rental cause melo wont resign with them.

new yor has nothing other then eddie curry’s contract,

the nets could get him for lopez, harris, williams but it may end as a rental and then they are right back to the bottom.

cleveland could get him for something involving jamison, west, hickson, varejao, williams, danny green. but i for one hope that doesnt happen! or maybe it could mean melo and lebron could join forces and they could fight over the ball for 4 seasons.. right up to lebron becoming a free agent again.
