Rondo added to U.S. National Team
Great recognition for Rajon - just don't get hurt. I have no clue what Tyson Chandler is doing on that roster.

that's Mr. Irrelevant to you, sir.
When Perk was asked what he thought of Howard winning the gold medal this summer, he responded: "What’s his impression of me after I won a ring?"
it'll raise his level of play
playing with KD & derick rose it’ll make him better like playing with kobe made basically every superstar ppl obsess over today ,wade, bosh, lebron, dwight
WHAAAAAAAAAAA?
I’m pretty sure winning an NBA title made people obsess over DWade, not playing along side Kobe.

Your right good point plus its not like he’s gonna start over rose anyway or play 44 minutes like he would with us without a break

I'd prefer if he didn't do it
This guy plays major minutes on a team that goes deep in the playoffs. And he’s a little guy who takes hard hits every night. Now he’s going to spend his downtime practicing for and playing in meaningless international competition. That’s a recipe for a short career.
BAD IDEA
I’m sure he’ll come up with a super plan to leave the Celtics in 2016 with a bunch of other stars -
then, do his “DECISION” in Holographic 3D ESPN TV, right in everyone’s living rooms
don’t go RONDO!
Don't fake the funk on a nasty dunk
and 1
the few, the proud, the boston celtics

Hey if we dont put the players around him after the big 3 why shouldn’t do that.. the heat wont be the last team to pull something like that off..the knicks will do the same thing next year with melo paul and amare who the have already

Nothing like C's fan worrying about 2016.
It’s all over in Dec of 2012 anyway, cheer up. lol

Tyson Chandler?
What about Robin Lopez? lol
Congrats to rondo, in my opinion it can do nothing but benefit his game
Meaningless stupidity
Unless he gets hurt.
I have no idea why management doesn’t include no-plays in meaningless exhibitions like this.
seriously though...
…why don’t contracts state a player can only play competitive basketball for the NBA?
It’s a conflict of interests
And it risks severe and/or career ending injury at at the very worst.
And at the very least has been blamed for lackluster player during the season / playoffs when they become tired from being over worked -
It’s bad, real bad.
Don't fake the funk on a nasty dunk
I'm not sure playing for a national team greatly increases Rondo's chances of getting hurt.
A guy like Rondo is probably in the gym most all of the summer in any case. His knees don’t know when he’s playing in international competition and when’s he’s just working out with another guy doing some one-on-one.
As we all recall, Tony Allen’s knee didn’t know the whistle had blown and he was just messing around.
Congrats Rajon -
It will only make em a betta player then he already is .

To the people saying its a bad idea
All the great players in this league play for the national team at some point, why should Rondo be any different?
I don't like the jinx effect in that comment about the injury but
It’s a GREAT recognition and I’m happy for him.
Show them what you got RR.

Well you see...
Somebody always gets hurt at these things, and the fans have to sit there and wonder “will it be my guy who goes down?”
Tyson Chandler is there so nobody has to wonder who is going to get hurt.
