Can the following happen under current NBA rules?
1. Sheed commits to retire this summer
2. We pick up a replacement, using his contract as part of a trade
3. Rasheed retires with 'said' team this summer
4. After the All-Star break, Sheed comes out of retirement “ala PJ Brown”
I am interested in your thoughts about the viability of a deal like this happening. The idea came after watching Z go to Wizards and then return to Cavs.
I also thought that Rasheed needed to take the regular season off anyways, this time without pay!
