These are the top 20 in my mind,,
20.) Allen Iverson-G- I guess Iverson has been saying in his tweets that he's assuming he will be a bench role player. He could be a good back up for Rondo even though we already have Nate Rob. A.I, has experience and if Doc and the gang could change his attitude, he could be a good back up.
19.) Flip Murray-G- Ronald "Flip" Murray would be another spark off the bench, I don't really think he would fit into what we have going now. We have Nate Robinson and Big Baby (Shrek and Donkey) to give us some bench points. Murray's only 30 but he would make us even smaller, he is only listed at 6'3.
18.) Jason Williams-G- Next.. we don't need this guy
17.) Josh Boone-F/C- Standing at 6'10, 240lbs. could Josh Boone me a reliable big man off the bench for us? Would he be able to back up Jermaine O'neal? This guy is really athletic and has some long arms. He's only 26 so maybe he could be a big with Rondo in the future?
16.) Damien Wilkins- G/F- Wilkins is 6'6, 225 lbs and 30 years old. He has the ability to finish on fast break plays, which would be perfect to pair with Rajon, Damien Wilkins is an exceptional defender, maybe he could be another body we throw at the Lebrons and Kobes of the league. Oh ya I almost forgot to mention, he's Dominique Wilkins' nephew.
15.) Joey Graham-F- After seeing Graham get very little minutes in Denver, he did great when he finally got into the game, But now that Denver has signed Al Harrington and Shelden WIlliams, I can't see him returning to the Nuggets. On NBA.com, he is listed at a Guard/Forward but there is no way he's a guard at 6'7 and 225lbs. To me, he seems like a hustle player but even though he would be a good pick up for Boston, he's kind of in between a 3 guard and a 4. He's not fast enough to guard 3 guards but not big enough to guard the opposing teams posts. He would be just like Big Baby, undersized and hustle player.
14.) Rodney Carney-F- Don't really know about this kid but from what I read, he seems to be a heck of a 3 point shooter and a very talented athlete. He's listed at 6'7 according to NBA.com. Maybe he could be our own version of Rashard Lewis? We do need a 3 guard to back up Paul Pierce, I think Carney would be perfect! Plus, he's only 26 years old.
13.) Roger Mason-G- Roger Mason was a great shooter at the beginning of last season for the San Antonio Spurs. He seemed to lose his touch towards the end. But maybe if he gets back on track he could be helpful to us, Who knows? I shooter never hurts and maybe he could be Ray's back up at the 2 guard. At 30 years old, he's 6'5 and he could give us some height in the back court.
12.) Tracy McGrady- G/F- I think the big question is, can he stay healthy? He's 31 years old but he's already injury riddled. I think Boston should stay away from McGrady, plus I read somewhere he wants more than the vet minimum.. NEXT!
11.) Eddie House-G- We all know what this guy brings to the table. What do you guys think?
10.) Marquis Daniels-G/F/- Same story as Eddie House, I think we should bring Quisy back.'
9.) C.J. Watson-G- Bulls picked him up yesterday I believe..
8.) Rasual Butler- G/F/- Possibly a back up for Pierce? I've seen many of you guys would like Butler on our bench, However, at 31 years old, he isn't really known for his defense. He is more of a streaky scoring player. But I guess if he's replacing Paul Pierce, hw's going to have to score. My only concern is, what happens when he goes in a slump?
7.) Antoine Wright- G/F- Wright is 26 years old and he's 6'7. He's more of a role player coming off the bench. For those of you who don't know him, he was the guy on the Mavericks who fouled Carmelo Anthony at the end of the game of game 3 but the refs didn't call a foul. Letting the Nuggets take a 3-0 series lead. Antoine Wright could be Pierce's back up? Maybe if KG teaches him how to play some defense,
6.) Shannon Brown-G- A 6'4 guard who has the ability to jump out of the building. In my mind, I thought Brown was the Lakers' Tony Allen but with a shot. I would LOVE to have Shannon Brown on the Celtics. He would be Ray Allen's back up and he would let Ray get the rest he needs. Plus, Tony Allen walked to Memphis, so Shannon Brown would be perfecct to replace him.
5.) Will Bynum-G- (Restricted FA) Sounds like a negotiation to return to Detroit is coming for Bynum. Oh well, didn't want him anyway!
4.) Louis Amundson- F/C- The 2006 NBA D-League rookie of the year is coming of the best year of his career. The 6'9, 31 year old PF energizer bunny would be great for Boston. He would be another big body to get us some rebounds. What do ya guys think?
3.) Richard Jefferson-F- i'm not sure there is anyway we can sign him, he left San Antonio with $15 million left. He would be a great back up for Paul if Danny could manage to obtain him,
2.) Matt Barnes-F- Barnes is one of those players that if your team was playing his team, you hate him but if he's on your team you love him.Matt Barnes is a pest. Just ask Garnett and Pierce. He would fit our system perfectly. He plays solid D and still has the ability to score. I could see him being our new 'Posey' and he's only 30 years old.
1.) Josh Howard-F- Just like McGrady, can he stay healthy? From what a remember, Howard was a so so defender and a heck of a scorer. I think he would fit well with the Celtics but I would be scared when he drove to the basket for fear that he would get injured. Josh Howard is also 30 years old and if we signed him, hopefully we could resign his best bud Marquis Daniels.
Yo! You guys still awake? Sorry if it was boring and/or it sucked, it was my first real post.
