Being an optimistic Celtics fan, 2009-2010 was definitely a year to enjoy as a Celtics fan. Who would have thought that after going 27-27 in our final 54 that we would get by Cleveland and Orlando with relative ease while taking the Lakers to a Game 7. All of us saw what a difference of not having Perk made as the script could have been flipped if he is on the floor. I always tell my two friends who are respective Magic and Heat fans that we were 4 points and 2 lucky Ron Artest shots away from Banner #18.
With that said, we have undergone a virtual 'roster reset' this off-season while the landscape in the Eastern Conference has been fundamentally transformed. I can't help but to now be a realist. That brings me to my question for everyone on CelticsBlog to chime in on: In 2010-2011 do the Celtics have any shot against the Miami Heat and/or the new and improved Los Angeles Lakers? LA has gotten much sounder on the defensive end with the additions of Matt Barnes, Steve Blake, and Theo Ratliff. We all know what the Heat will bring to the table this year. At this point are we all just wishful thinkers?
