"Being in Boston, I was kind of overshadowed by those guys, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen. I kind of feel like I am a rookie again, with something to prove."

Saw that quote and
thought he’s correct. No bad blood just wants more PT. IMO, he’ll probably be ‘overshadowed’ by some of his new teammates in Memphis but, that’s on him now.
"Do you know that nonbelievers create the most positive energy?" Davis said
Tony Allen, Rookie?
Tony has had to prove himself every year as a Celtic, so this should be nothing new to him…Good luck, Tony, you have been a big part of our bench and I have admired your persistance in coming back from injury. (That is, good luck against every one except the Celtics!) You have been a good soldier.
I get it
You have to credit him for always being in great shape, taking it to the rim hard every time and playing awesome perimeter D.
If it wasn’t for the turn overs, low BB IQ and lack of a jump shot…he could probably be a starter somewhere.
I wish him the best.
Well.. ask yourself this, would you rather be overshadowed by Rudy Gay and OJ Mayo or PP/KG/Ray/Rondo ???
the answer is pretty easy.
I'm Confused
What’s the purpose of this quote again? In two interviews totaling about 23 minutes he said one sentence that sounded like he needed to get out from under Paul and Ray. He also said O.J. and Rudy need to be spelled. He said he was a utility guy. He said he learned in Boston the need to play roles. He said he would wave towels or pass out Gatorade if need be for the good of the team. He talked about friendships with Chris Wallace and the head coach at the University of Memphis. The guy gave 100% for this team.
I don't get why he would even say this
It’s so obvious. I mean of course he was overshadowed by those guys, and rightly so. Who isn’t? Probably just KG.
You don't get it? It isn't obvious?
He said it because he had to say something. When you are put in front of reporters, you are forced to talk.
Considering people on this blog have been asking why he moved, it made sense for him to say that.

How does this make sense? His statement would make sense if he was going to be a starter and not a bench player for Memphis. Looks to me like he’s going to be a backup there, too. Good backup player.
In the new Geico commercial, Marte sings "Let me be myself" on Wedge's front lawn (with the cavemen).
Well, Zach Randolph’s huge fat ass casts a huge shadow
