In a way, I was kinda hoping that the Celtics would 'blow up' their roster this offseason and start moving toward making Rajon Rondo the centerpiece of the team. It seems that it will be atleast two more years before the Celtics truly hand Rajon Rondo the keys to the team. So, to pass the time, I'd like to hear what you think the Celtics should look like once the Second Big Three era is over.
What kind of offensive/defensive schemes should be used to augument Rajon's quick, improvisational style? Should the Celtics emulate D'Antoni's Seven Second Offense or stick with Doc's High Screen / Multiple Screen offense? I've read that Rondo can be more than a handful to coach, so if Doc isn't around, who will be able to get the wildcat to buy into his system? More importantly: What kind of players will best complement Rajon's abilities?
And as a little something to get us through this bitter offseason, here's a video of the Green Blur shaking some Lakers out of their shoes, dropping J's and teardrops alike, and basically defining the word "hustle." (Music by Eminem, so fragile ears be warned. Not made by me. Opens new window)
