A Answer for Boston?

I know size is what we need with Perkins down, and Sheed set to retire. We have allot of spots to fill and the pickings are getting slimmer everyday. We need Ainge to make a bold move, and we need Doc to support it.

Not allot of heads in the free agency are looking our way. Sure we need a big guy, and we don’t have allot of options. More or less we are going to have to end up settling for less than what we want in that department, and probably will have to depend more on the guys we already have Garnett, Glen Davis, Semih Erden, and Luke Harangody.

Don’t be surprised if Danny Ainge comes through and fills in Perkins spot with some real talent. We still have Sheed's contract to put out there and possibly some future draft picks for some kind of trade. There is also the fact that in the last three seasons we have won two Eastern Conference titles, and put banner number seventeen in the rafters.

The idea of being part of Doc River's championship system, and making a run for the title with the defending Eastern Conference Champions has an appeal to it. So we cant count out someone like Shaq, or Brad Miller coming to Boston. That is really the best we could hope for when it comes to putting someone in the paint.

So, we have to look else where to keep us in contention for another Championship. I think filling in the blanks on the bench is going to be big. We took a chance with Wallace last season, and almost won it all. Now we are talking to Kwame Brown. Maybe Ainge can see something no one else can in Brown, who knows? I think we all know he is not someone to put in a starting role, it would appear that we are reaching and getting desperate.

As cliché as it may sound with all the questions surrounding the Celtics, The Answer is available! I know he has had his problems, and his past in the NBA has been full of controversy. With all the negativity that has followed Allen Iverson through his 14 year career, he is still a skilled veteran. Like I said before we took a chance on Sheed, now were talking to Kwame Brown. So why not Iverson?

Iverson was rookie of the year in the 96-97 season, an eleven time All-Star with two All-Star MVP awards in 2001, and 2005. He won the scoring title in the 1998-99, 2000-01, 2001-2002, and 2004-05 seasons. He also won the league MVP in 2000-01 when he led his team to the 2001 Finals. With a career scoring average of 26.7 points per game, being sixth in all-time scoring. He is one of the best scorers in the history of basketball. How could anyone over look Iverson, especially when he would come at a very low dollar amount?

Now don’t get me wrong I'm not saying start him over Rondo, or even at the 2 spot. But he would be great coming off the bench as a role player at the 1 or 2 spot, which he is sure to be willing to do this season. Is he a good fit in Boston? No, not really. We already have one of the top point guards in the league and it would be smart to fill in the shooting guard spot with someone taller than six foot. But he is still Allen Iverson!

It seems like a no brainer.Get to him before anyone else does! Its simple go to him with an offer of a veterans minimum somewhere around $1.2 million, let him know how serious we are about a run at the Championship, and guarantee him a role off the bench as long as he plays by Doc's rules. Lets face it Iverson needs a ring, and needs to be on a team where he will get a chance to really contribute. What could sound sweeter to him than a chance at a ring, and a chance to play again at an elite level? Who knows if he really is determined to make a comeback, and work hard to win a ring. Is there a better place to do it than Boston? And would he have a chance anywhere else?

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

If...

we could get AI for cheap….I’d take him.

Despite his problems, drama and issues…..I do believe he has a good potential of being a great 6th man off the bench for us who can provide us instant offense especially if Pierce or Ray are having the night off.

Right now even though we have a confident bunch of guys on the bench with TA, Nate and Tony…none of them are consistent and that hurts us when we get into offensive droughts.

P.S. Hopefully DA gets rid of Sheldon, Quis and Finley.

Good point

One of the C’s biggets problems last season was the scoring droughts and AI can help with scoring. Still not sure though.

Hilarious.

Maybe we can split the little money we have for AI and Stephon. Jeezz…. while we are at it, can we get VInce Carter? I hear he can really dunk.

He will be begging to join the HEAT

A.I. will angle for a roster spot on the Heat even if he plays for the minimum and 5 minutes a game. And it wouldn’t surprise me if they do it.

AI? No way for the CELTS.... Please let him go to Miami...

As the T.O. of the NBA… he will no doubt break up the team chemistry in Miami!! LOL!
