"I wouldn't mind having him on our team, I can tell you that," Rivers said of Kwame Brown. "He could help us."

5th Big

I’d take him as the 5th big. He could do alright in 10 mpg until Perk comes back, then be relegated to Shelden duty. I’ll do it for the minimum.

I agree if the interview went ok

Much rather have brown that j oneil or fat shaq.

j oneal > kwame brown

j oneal is way better than kwame brown. he has more offensive skill by far nd has a better resume.

both Brown and O'Neil

I’d take both if I could until Perkins comes back and then Brown and O’Neil can be regulated to backup duty

We could never have too many big bodies to throw at Gasol and Bynum. Games 6 and 7 proved that.

D-fence

Seriously he’s not a bad defender. Question is can he learn the system & how much will he cost?

by Brett Szabo on Jul 7, 2010 8:54 PM EDT via mobile reply actions

If they get Kwame at the minimum...

… and spend the bulk of the MLE on a good wing (Mike Miller, Reddick, Travis Outlaw), I’ll be happy. Still need another body, though. KG and BBD take a few minutes in the middle.

Rather have Kwame + Reddick than Shaq (full MLE) + vet min wing.

Give Kwame a one-year deal and let him prove to the league that he can be a solid contributor. Doubtful that he’d be attainable at just the vet min, though.

If Kwame’s going to be the biggest offseason addition, though… we’re boned.

You forgot the part where Doc broke out laughing hysterically after he said that for five straight minutes.

kwame brown

he isnt a good player @ all in my opinion. the only thing he is good @ is defence. that is okay but defence isnt a problem with the celtics. they need help offencivily not nessisarily defence. they can use that money to get a decent offence big man.

shelden williams

shelden is actually very good. he can start at center if they cant sign a big man.people think he is not good but he scored @ a good rate wen baby was out in the start of the season. i think he can give the celtics 12-14 ppg and 7-9 rpg nd he isnt a great shot blocker but may get a block every other game. (kwame brown: 6-7 ppg nd 7-9 rpg nd maybe 1.5 blocks)

Respectfully disagree. Shelden is a 3rd string center. If Jermaine O’Neal signs, then either Kwame Brown or Erdin will likely be the backup until Perk returns. Then Erdin goes to number 3. I am not sure Erdin is even the answer at number 2, or even ready. So do not be surprised if we pick up another center for the vet minimum and regulate Erdin the the 3rd center role until Perk gets back. Then Erdin goes to the practice squad. Having Perk, O"Neal and Brown for the playoffs at center is not bad at all. Three big bodies to throw at Howard and Gasol/Bynum in the playoffs.

Oh please no...

I don’t care what his bio page says, he’s not a center. Give me Shelden for 10-15 minutes in the PF spot at the very most. That I can handle.

Ok.......

(I’m going to type this-dig into my pocket for anudder 1.50 and enjoy the workday.)

Michael jordan thought kwame would be the best find ever. A true center/forward;whaeva. Kwame promised jordan that he wouldn’t let him down. Three yrs later (I think) the only benefit that kwame gave the wizards was when ernie got caron butler.

With kobe n phil…one might think things could change. It did. Phil seemingly got less violent at kobe n more so to kwame. Add to that, the cake incident and again kwame’s “benefit” was the lakers gettin gasol.

In memphis, he didnt-oh wait I think darko was there (correct me if I’m wrong). So onto detroit where most fantasy players recognized u can’t get much outta kwame (except for dnp-cd),but jerebko-man tha swede has a future.

I was about to use a term that could have got me into trouble if I just said it from the start.

Monkeys paw

In his case-u don’t get any benefit from kwame-until he’s gone (detroit n memphis) being the exception.

Now dumars signed kwame on the cheap n couldn’t get much.

Wha makes anyone (ahem doc rivers) thinks he can?

i come in peace (and for wingdings)

For the record

I live in dc. Folks won’t say it much, but ask a wizards fan about kwame.

They will smile as they let u know, how happy they were;when he was gone
