Around SBN: L'Equipe Claims He's Coming To Chelsea On Five Year Deal

Paul Pierce for Danny Granger?

I'm not sure if thats a good or bad trade but Danny Granger is youngm and an explosive scorer and has ALOT of potential hes also 27 i couldnt see this happening because pp is our franchise player and so i DG. But we could throw in a 1st round pick? IDK DG makes 10 mill  and paul pierce make 13 mill.

No foul  and inappropriate language please. Thanks,

write down what you guys think.

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

Granger Not An Option

Nevermind the fact that proposing to trade The Truth is 100% ridiculous because hes the sickest player in the world. Granger has proved 1 thing about himself that is undeniably true and likely to dog his entire career, the guy gets injured every year. Not ‘banged up’, but serious career threatening injuries that will only get worse with age. I’d prefer to keep Pierce aka.the best player on the planet and not trade him for a player that will log more hours in the training room and hospitals than on the court.

why would Indiana want to do that. Granger is a great all-around player about to enter his prime where as Pierce is getting old.

Would you trade Rondo for Baron Davis or Billups?

Whoops, not directing my comment at you.

I’m an old school guy who would like PP to play his entire career as a Celtic – that’s all.

completely NOT in favor

a ‘homer’ here. The only way I could agree with trading Peirce would be in his final year, when he goes to ‘said’ other team and retires and never suits up or even goes to this other city. Pierce would then immediately be in the Garden joining the other Legends. We would retire his jersey as we introduce the player he was traded for.

That is the only trade scenario which makes sense in my world. Welcome to Homerville :-)

And 1

Trading Pierce is and will always be 100% out of the question. He will retire a Celtic and his number will hang from the rafters right next to Bird’s.

Take your pick

Celtics not sure if they want to break their chemistry;

OR

Pacers don’t want to trade their franchise player.

Either reason probably forces either side to not even bother picking up the phone.

Celtics don't want to break the chemistry

Pacers don’t give a damn, they won’t do anything significant… Ever…

No Danny Ainge would ever trade Pierce.

Irresponsible I stand...

Love PP....

However, Granger is 6 years younger….Bird would have to be insane!

by Title 18 on Aug 14, 2010 4:49 PM EDT reply actions

Ive got another one.

Rayray for Jamal crawford? along with 2 2nd round picks. Both players contracts end after 10-11 season.

by RR#9 on Aug 14, 2010 5:38 PM EDT reply actions

Maybe next season.

Shaq came here to play with legends, not to play with bunch of kids.

by LeoMoreno on Aug 14, 2010 8:25 PM EDT up reply actions

Or...

Kendrick Perkins for Chris Andersen, one of my favorite centers. He also has good height and length but not sure about his low post skills. He might get pushed around by the elite centers like dwight howard.

by RR#9 on Aug 14, 2010 5:55 PM EDT reply actions

Your first two trades, besides being strange ideas, are against NBA rules.

This one just doesn’t really help Boston since Andersen isn’t really a center, more of a 4.

The Celtics team is built. There may be a piece added/subtracted around the margins, but they aren’t going to be trading a member of their core.

by mcpickl on Aug 14, 2010 10:52 PM EDT up reply actions

I'd take it but not right now.

Chemistry will be broken, however for rebuilding. If by any chance Indiana is gonna offer Granger and as much as I want Pierce to retire a Celtics, heck i’d take that.

by Yoki R on Aug 15, 2010 7:31 AM EDT reply actions

This would not happen, We’ve reloaded for another run not to trade assets to rebuild.

by Celtics4ever on Aug 15, 2010 8:13 AM EDT reply actions

no way

i would never make this trade Pierce stays in green until he retires with number 34 on our roof ut i would trade big perk and rasheeds contrat i like perk but hes hurt i dont think he knee gonna take a lot of hits and bruises hes gonna sit alot why go through this when we can still get sumthing 4 him

by green squad on Aug 15, 2010 4:56 PM EDT reply actions

pierce is better then granger no thanks

by jaygunna3 on Aug 16, 2010 1:27 AM EDT reply actions

dont think its possible

I’m almost 100% sure Pierce has a no trade clause in his new contract.

by CoachBullins on Aug 16, 2010 11:16 AM EDT reply actions

Trade PP ???

Your 1st problem is you kill team chemistry…no need to discuss this any further….
Try posting for a backup wing that we need to “add” chemistry…..

by floppyriver on Aug 16, 2010 11:30 PM EDT reply actions

No, but I'd trade him for Melo...

Especially if he’s really available and Denver are open to it.

by Eeeee on Aug 17, 2010 10:15 AM EDT reply actions

GRANGER SUCKS!!!!

I wouldn’t root for Granger…

And I’d BOYCOTT the Celtics Season if Pierce was traded away!!!!

I know I'm in the minority here - but if we got a good talented guy that was in his 20's, LATER PIERCE

I do love Paul, but I wouldn’t pass up the chance to get some younger pieces around Rondo if given the opportunity.

by RJ87 on Aug 18, 2010 5:56 PM EDT reply actions

We might never know coz who knows

When his team will reach the playoffs again!! Pierce has ice in his veins!

by leonitus on Aug 23, 2010 3:41 AM EDT up reply actions

It’d never happen, but I’d like to see them do it. You’d get a player on the rise for one on the decline.
