So what if...

…that’s a possibility this off season? How can it be realistically possible for the C’s to get Kenyon Martin or J.R. Smith for the last spot on the roster?

J.R. Smith is apparently in trouble again...

It is alleged on “The Denver Stiffs” site that he strangled someone during a practice session….?

And it was reported on NBAtv last night that the Nuggets owner has to remove himself (he will turn the team over to his son by the end of the year) because he has been approved as the new majority owner of the St. Louis Rams.

possible or not...

i don’t think we need either one of them. our frontcourt is loaded and smith is the exact opposite of what we need for the wing

i don’t really know the game of smith but yeah.. you may be right.. and as ainge said, they’re looking for a shooter so scrap martin too.. i just thought if he’s a possible sub for pierce

in general

sounds like a mess out in denver and the continued decline in the NBA. If agents are already manipulating trades to make another threesome for Melo somewhere, I wouldn’t blame the owners for adopting that ‘franchise player’ concept from the NFL to prevent teams from losing their best players for peanuts.

I’m not against players getting to play for the teams they want to play for after their rookie contracts have expired but the level of collusion by the players that occurred this summer both in Miami and New York is just as wrong as owners colluding to keep players salaries and movement down. The next CBA will probably be a battle over money and this issue.

Houston

Is in a good place to jump on this. Jordan Hill, multiple NY picks, Ming/Jeffries/Battier expiring, Kevin Martin.

Hill/Ming/Jeffries/NY first/Kevin Martin for Kenyon, Carmelo, Smith.

Denver also deals Billups to a contender for pieces.

Lawson/Afflalo/Martin/Hill/Nene core plus the Billups haul and picks

Brooks/Lowry
Lee/Jr Smith
Melo/Battier
Kenyon/Hayes
Scola/Miller

I wouldn't be surprised

to see Melo traded in the next few weeks, but obviously he’s not coming here.

K-Mart is one-legged at this point, and is just an expiring contract to use at the trade deadline, but not with us.

JR Smith is a rotation-caliber guy, but too much of a thug. I’d rather bring back Quyntel Woods, who supposedly is less of an immature thug than Smith at this point.

Ok Let's start with trades!!

Rondo and Ray for Carmelo. They release Ray and he come back to the Celtics.
It’s a joke just in case.

They can buy out Garnett so he can come back.
Sorry I’m still dreaming!!

Al Jeff

Wasn’t he traded to Denver? If so, as long as Denver is destroying itself, why not send Al back here? I know the money wouldn’t work, but I can dream.
