Did Ainge do the right thing? If the Celtics can make another deep run or two, he probably chose wisely. But if we saw the last gasp of the Celtics this past spring or if the Heat just steamroll everyone this season, then Ainge and the Celtics missed a critical chance to rebuild while they had the cap space to do it.
I'm not sure what "critical chance" he's talking about here. Was it the chance to trade Ray Allen for Caron Butler at the deadline? Or the chance to do nothing this offseason and resemble the Washington Wizards?
Bottom line: Danny added depth to a title contending team and has the flexibility to rebuild in 2 years. That's an A in my book.
