Who will get the most minutes at the back up power forward position - Jermaine or Baby?

Ok lets see..... when Perk hopefully comes back later in the season from his knee injury, Jermaine will no longer be needed to play the center position for the most part .

Though Jermaine may still play the center position for spot duty against faster more mobile centers, with Shaq playing behind Perk, Jermaine will not be seeing to many minutes I assume playing the center position.

Now that means Jermaine will move over to the power forward position (where I think he is more effective anyway) and will then get most of his minutes helping to back up Garnett.

But Baby will also be helping to back up Garnett ...which makes for a interesting situation.

One of the most interesting battles then will be who plays more at he back up power forward position behind Garnett, Jermaine or Baby?

Now I think who plays between Jermaine and Baby when Garnett goes to the bench will depend alot about match ups and who the opposing teams the C's are playing against.

But the question Id like to ask is (not considering match ups and opponents which as I mention above will probably determine who plays behind Garnett) is who would you in general prefer to see back up Garnett and get the most minutes..... Jermaine or Baby ??

Now I personally would prefer to see Jermaine get more minutes in general just because I think he is a better overall basketball player then Baby both on the offense and defense ends of the court.

I also like the fact Jermaine will give us that much needed length now at the back up power forward position that we have lacked the last few years since we have had to rely on undersized Baby (and Powe also) who lacked the height to properly match up against alot of the longer opposing power forwards the C's have had to face.

Baby has had problems the last few years due to his lack of length defending longer power forwards, getting his shot off (and blocked often) in the low post against them.

With Jermaine we will now have a back up power forward who will have the length to defend and get his shots off in the low post aganist these longer power forwards and not have to deal with the problems Baby faces due to his lack of length.

We will also with Jermaine get a shot blocker at the position which we have not had in years.

With that said I still think Baby has a important role on this club:

Since he can play against shorter - stronger more bulkier power forwards.

He also gives us great depth at the power forward position and will be needed when foul trouble or injury to KG or Jermaine occur.

We will also need Baby's 6 fouls and toughness very much come playoff time.

As a believer that you can never have enough good big men on your team I am glad we have this great depth at the back up power forward position and though I would prefer Jermaine get more minutes then Baby,I am glad we have both of them ready to play behind KG this year.

Anybody have any thoughts on the topic?
