Pacers Previews

Larry's playing the game of wait for next year.

2010-11 NBA Blogger Preview: Indiana Pacers - Indy Cornrows

Larry Bird and David Morway have been beating the drum for some time now about their efforts to put together a young core of talented players while looking ahead to next summer and the big chunk of cap space they'll have thanks to those expiring contracts.   Well, those expiring contracts have faces attached to them and they'll be in the Pacers locker room until the season ends or they are dealt. Varied agendas and player demands could make things difficult around Conseco Fieldhouse when the team bumps into the inevitable adversity the long NBA season brings.

Well that should be fun.

I wish Larry legend the best...

he has been trying to get the Pacers back to title contention for years now after he coached them to the finals and lost years ago.

I hope he catches a break and it works out for him and Indiana some time soon.

I grew up watching Larry and loved him as a player .

Another wish I also have is that he can maybe come back to the C’s one day down the line and either coach or run the front office and help guide them to a NBA title.

I know their was some friction with the C’s years ago for not offering Larry a job, but it sure would be fitting and nice if that happened as Larry legend and the Celtics go together like milk and chocolate.

i think the pacers take a step forward this year, playoffs are possible.

granger, darren collison, roy hibbert is a good start to a young lineup. brandon rush has really struggled and i really think that paul george will take the starting spot from him.

the team has added posey for toughness, bench defense which should help some.

hansbrough is full of energy and hustle he should really help them but they are also very thin at PF. if denver does start a team dump look for the pacers to try and add one of their bigs, martin, nene, birdman.

over all, i think this team is improved quite a bit. i see them around the 40 win mark.

"Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."

im gonna be all up on you like a spider monkey!

i can just see delonte west winning a game of poker against lebron, throwing down the cards he yells, "who's your daddy!"...."oh, sorry man"
