Allen Iverson
Before everybody starts to get mad or anything, just think about it. Iverson is a future hall of famer and one of the best point guards to play the game. Yes he is nearing the end of his career and he is not like the Iverson we know off. However he has stated that he is willing to play for any team, not only that but everything in his private life has mended, so no more drama.
Think about it, we can offer him the minimum veteran salary (whatever its supposed to be), hell serve as a backup point guard to rondo, where he will provide much needed help on the offensive end. I know that he is good friends with the Big Three.
Any comments on the matter?
P.S i know hes organizing a charity event in the coming days, pierce is playing.
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

offense off the bench will be needed….unless avery bradley can light it up!
give him a shot – he’s a competitor and i think would fit right in. not much to lose here.
better to do it Early in the season too for a change – can we not blow up half the team or bring in 3 new guys in late Feb this year? since PJ brown, that hasn’t worked
Naaa I dont want anybody slowing down AVB's progress
We already have a stock of Points, I dont want to worry about signing anyone smaller than a healthy power forward until the roster is filled out. AI will fail if he comes back trust me. I mean I love the dude and all, I really do. But its just way too late and we have a pack of young guys that need to get some experience Rondo will get his then whats left? 15 – 20mins tops which must be split between Bradly, More, and Brown(is that his name?) and i think More will be good.
AVB = Andre Villas Boas?
What’s Chelsea F.C. coach got to do with this?
avery still a work in progress
Iverson is jus what this team needs. somebody on that bench needs to put the ball in the hoop
I know it’s really tempting because he’s AI and all… but
Iverson gives us nothing that we want
He’s not young.
He’s no longer athletic.
He’s undersized.
He can’t defend NBA guards anymore.
Even in his prime, he wasn’t a great shooter.
He’s had a wide variety of injuries the last few years.
He’s always been a volume scorer, and he won’t see the floor chucking shots in the Celtics offense.
He will be a locker room nightmare, especially with head strong guards like Rondo and West, not to mention Doc and KG.
He said he will play for any team, but I have not read anywhere he will take a reduced role. That was the biggest problem he had in Detroit.

He’s recently said that he’s willing to play any role necessary, and that he just wants to be back in the league playing at the highest level. It’s impossible to say whats true or not, but he says that the personal issues and injuries are behind him. I think he’d be a great addition.
Hes still undersized, and isnt a great defender, but neither was Ray Allen before he came, or Pierce before the big 3 era. Still, we’d be bringing him here tobe a scoring spark off the bench, and he’s proven to still be able to score everywhere he went. I saw him play one of his games while he was in Philly last time, and he can still get his shot off and drive past 99% of the league.
I had to check the calendar
because this has got to be an April Fool’s joke. PASS!
Iverson
Absolutely makes no sense!
Are we ever going to learn that bringing in aging/broken down players is not the answer!
Avery Bradley is the future; not AI
Why would anyone choose to have cancer?
Which is exactly what we’d be doing by bringing in Iverson.
If the C's stick withthe veteran core...
this upcoming season then I would not mind seeing the C’s sign Iverson to a 1 yr. min contract deal.
I think it would be a low risk high potential signing.
He would add good athleticism, scoring, veteran experience and depth along Rondo and Ray in the backcourt.
With the big 3 and Docs influence I think they would all keep AI attitude in check just as they did fairly well with Marbury a couple of years ago.
The only aspect of potentially signing AI that I most fear is, if the C’s do so would then maybe mean they have less interest in possibly signing Delonte ?
I love Delontes game and think he is a good fit with the C’s and would really like to see him resigned so that is one concern, but other them that I think its worth the while to sign AI.
Why not??
Well, for me,it’s a very nice idea to sign Iverson..but olny for 1 year!
Iverson
Iverson would be a good pick up also Humphries ……..
Let Miami have him
Bottom line on AI, he’s a good talent but not a winner. Just like the Heat. It’s a perfect fit
