Rondo And Friends Will Play "The Boston Charity Classic’’ Saturday
If you have $50 to spend and really want to watch NBA pickup basketball, then you can catch Rajon Rondo, Paul Pierce, Kevin Durant, and others play a charity game at Lavietes Pavilion on Harvard's campus on Saturday night at 6 PM.
Other participants:
Rondo to host all-star game at Harvard - The Boston Globe
Among those also scheduled to join Rondo are Celtics teammates Glen Davis, Jeff Green, and JaJuan Johnson, former Celtics Kendrick Perkins, Leon Powe, and Marquis Daniels, former Harvard star Jeremy Lin, Rudy Gay of the Grizzlies, Josh Smith of the Hawks, and Kyle Lowry of the Rockets.
Sounds like a lot of fun for a good cause ("proceeds supporting Boston charities and supplying meals for the holiday season.").

hey, maybe Big Baby can finally talk to his player rep Paul Pierce
Faith and Sports - an essay by Jeff Clark
I Wish Baby Would Just Stop Saying Things
I can understand his frustration, but the point he makes in the Boston Herald about this deal being “for the Kobes of this league” doesn’t make sense. The player reps involved in this, such as Paul Pierce are on their last big contracts. They are losing the most money each day, regardless of whether they can afford it or not.
This deal is really about the Baby’s of the league. Baby says he isn’t talking to to the guys who are in his stage of their careers, but if he wants to talk these are the guys he should be talking to.
But, there does seem to be a lack of communication. This could be because the reps don’t want any leaks and give the media stuff to play with. The communication amongst owners is a much easier process.

I dig the lineup.
Some of my favorites there: Perk, Powe, Quisy.
Yeh, if I lived any closer, I would’ve definitely gone there!

i'll be at disney world
- respect to them for the ‘charity’ aspect, perhaps with a heavy dose of PR
Don't fake the funk on a nasty dunk
How would people know to go to the game though without advertising? :O

Besides...
… who’s profiting the most off of this? The charity, or the players?
I’m sure the charity will not mind mind all that star-power.
