Rondo gives me joy. Watching him make no-look alley-oop passes takes my breath away. Watching him pester anyone whom he guards makes me giggle. Watching him come out of nowhere to grab a rebound away from a 7-footer and dunk it makes me scream with delight . I've been a Celtics fan since I started watching basketball in the early 90's, but when Rondo is in the game I watch more intensely, because I never know what's going to happen next. Did he lose some of that excitement in March? Sure. Do I wish that he practiced shooting free throws all summer? Absolutely. But the highs he brings when he's at the top of his game so outweigh the occasional disappointments that I don't care. I've watched Chris Paul play. He's great, I don't deny it. But he's not as much fun to watch. Rondo is a true artist, a visionary, when it comes to passing. Chris Paul isn't. He might be better, but he won't make me go "wow". And going "wow" is fun.

I hope Danny hears my plea and stops this Rondo-shopping nonsense. There's nothing better out there this Christmas season, so there's no reason to look.
