What I am about to post might not be what all celtics fans want, but we all have to be realistic with the options this team has.
Kwame Brown, despite being considered a bust for basically all part of his career he did prove to be a considerable player at the centre position with the bobcats. He does not often get injured and could serve as either a starter or a bench player who can relieve major minutes off of both Garnett and O'neal. We can sign him for the new Bird rights.
Allen Iverson, while many people consider Iverson a player well past his prime I do believe he can serve as a reliable backup with fantastic offence when needed (especially with the second unit), we can sign him for the veteran minimum deal. Doc Rivers along with the Big Three can serve as a check on him and keep him at bay when needed.
Resigning Big Baby, Delonte West and Jeff Green is a must, why? because we dont have any other option besides signing these players and immediately trading them. With only 6 players under contract for the year so far, this team needs consistency especially with training camp starting soon. Sign them for 3-4 years would be a good option.
Sign our two rookies and another rookie. Both rookies (Jajuan and Moore) understand each other and could help this team in the long term especially in back to back games. They could get much needed experience from our veteran core. It has also been rumoured that the celtics are interested in another rookie who can play the three.
