Rudy Fernandez or Corey Brewer?
Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted this:
"Dallas is trying to move Rudy Fernandez and Corey Brewer to create more cap space, league sources tell Y!"
For whatever reason, any time I hear Corey Brewer's name on the market, I automatically start hoping we make a move for him. I understand that the David West deal fell through but I feel that adding either of these guys would benefit us more that signing that bum Sasha Pavlovic.
Fernandez can light it up and Brewer can play solid defense and has size at the 2-3 position.
Just another way we can infuse some youthful exuberance into this otherwise decrepit old squad. Ok well maybe decrepit was a little bit of a low blow, but you get where I'm coming from!
I say we make a move for one of them, we surely could use the youth.
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

COREY!!!
Corey >>>>>>> Bradley
Send Bradley and a second round
Or maybe both AND Ian Mahinmi
Jermaine and Bradley for Brewer, Rudy and Mahinmi
I don't think both
BUT either of them would make us a better team. I like where you’re going with this
why is Dallas trying to get rid of Rudy?
Didn’t they just sign him at the end of the season last year?
Wow.
Dallas let Chandler and Butler leave and then find themselves with Odom without giving up anyone from their roster. Now they are trying to create cap space. Are they trying to make a run at Howard? I’d like to see Howard end up in the West rather than somewhere here in the East.
Can the C’s sign either of them for $ 3 mill?
Not sure about 3 mil
BUT if we could put together some sort of package to get either of them, I would be more than satisfied. ANYTHING other than sign Pavlovic again!
Hmm...
Fernandez would be able to be had for the trade exemption, Brewer, we’d have to add a player or two to get him. He’s locked up for 2 years at 3mil. Would be nice to have a second unit including Green and Brewer/Fernandez. Fernandez could be groomed as a Ray replacement?
Agree, good Ray backup + we need scoring off bench
with KG to play some center, use MLE for scoring; does anyone else feel the Paul fiasco is not over?
Paul fiasco should be over
We have no chance at getting Chris Paul, that possibility ended once the LA deal died I believe. If the asking price was too high for LAC, what would it be for the Cs? And any three team trades are pretty much non-existent
Back it up...
Hold up…just thought of something…Three team trade involving Houston, New Orleans, and Boston
Houston gets: Okafor, O’Neal, Ariza?
Boston gets: Paul
New Orleans gets: Rondo, Green, Moore, Flynn, Martin, Scola, Patterson, and a 1st round pick or two?
I thought about this after the LA trade died, if Houston would have just stopped whinning about it…they need a center and I doubt they’ll get Nene. Hate to see Green possibly leave
I know Sterns demands are steep...
But that seems like a LOT of players
Dont think Green can be traded for awhile
due to recent signing
Rudy Fernandez is so overrated
he’s a “shooter” who shot 32% from 3 last year. Brewer is a guy who can play defense but most of his value is based on his potential still. We need to win NOW, and we still need a center. No thanks.
Agree, but...
I agree we do NEED a center badly, but we still need scoring off the bench and a backup 2-3. I know we have Daniels, Bradley, Green, and Pav along with Moore, who’s to say Daniels gets hurt and Bradley and Moore go in Doc’s doghouse? We need BOTH a center and another guard/forward. Acquire one in a trade and the other via FA
JJ Barea just signed a four year deal with the Timberwolves
Did not see that coming. Barea said Dallas will not sign any of their FAs for more than a one year deal. Looks like Cuban is making room to be in on the FA bonanza next summer.
How old is Posey?
He was great in 2008. He fit the C’s perfectly. Can he still play like that? I’ve heard his stock went down. Kind of like Jeff Green after leaving OKC.
