Not to beat a dead horse but here is a 3 way that seems to work that would bring CP3 to Boston. The C's current roster just can not compete with Miami and Chicago as currently constituted. They need more offensive firepower to have any shot at winning the East. Here it is:
Boston trades:
Rajon Rondo, Jeff Green and LAC 1st round pick in 2012
Boston gets:
NO trades:
Chris Paul and Emeka Okafor
NO gets:
Roy Hibbert, Darren Collison, Tyler Hansboro, Jeff Green and LAC 1st round pick in 2012
Indy trades:
Roy Hibbert, Darren Collison, Tyler Hansboro
Indy gets:
Rajon Rondo and Emeka Okafor
The C's get the offensive firepower the desperately need in CP3, NO gets four good young players to start over with plus a mid first rounder next year from the Clippers and Indy gives up some young talent and takes on some salary but has a roster ready to compete this year with Rondo, West, Granger and Okafor.
This offer is definitely better for the Hornets than the Lakers offer where they were getting three players near or over 30 and were taking on salary and likely beats the Clippers offer of either Gordon or Minne 1st round pick and some other young pieces. This deal nets them a decent pick and four young players that can start for them all on the cheap.
Who says no to this besides maybe David Stern?
