For the Celtics to make a title run they need some Nuggets...
I'm a huge Celtics fan from Denver. I'm also a Nuggets fan. Boston should try to go after 2-3 former nugget players that should be released from their current Chinese teams soon or at least by March.
Kenyon Martin might be willing to take a small deal for this season for a chance to get a ring, he would bring back the toughness that we lost with Perkins. He would be a great piece for this team and has his nights when he can score. He is a great defender.
JR smith would also be a great pickup, we would have to free up some cash to get him. After watching him for years in Denver he is one of the best athletes I have ever watched, but he is a bit of a headcase. I think Doc and the big 3 would be great for him and he would give us that scoring threat they we are missing and he can play some point as he did in Denver from time to time.
Wilson Chandler will also be coming back be he is restricted but Denver is 12 players deep right now and might be willing to do a sign and trade. Chandler would fill in where Green should have been.
Thoughts?
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

Disagree with just about everything you put on there.
Heat get SG/SF, and if JO is healthy, he’s ten times the player than whatever bag of bones the Heat run out at Center.
Bulls get PG and Center, and if JO is healthy, they only that ones close to a wash. Noah is solid, but not all world. Boozer is an overrated clod, and Rip how do they get SG? Ray runs circles around Rip, every day and twice on Sunday.
Pacers? Come on… Danny “no defense” Granger may be a better 1 on 1 player than Pierce, but Pierce is still a better all around player, it takes more than street ball hoops talent to be an NBA champion. I’ll give ya Center and PF, but a lot of that depends on how healthy West is, which remains to be seen. I really like Hibbert, so can’t argue that one.
So anyway… ya. I think you’re way off there.

agree
I totally agree with you
i cant believe you are saying kg is worse than bosh, BOOzER and west! Come on dude. Granger better than Pierce, Rip better than Ray? Do you watch the NBA?
Just look at last year all stars, that can guide you a bit
I’d love for you to be right

I like Chandler.
He’d be a great pick. If JR Smith is ever a Celtic though, it will be the worst day of my life. There is nothing I would like to see less than that piece of trash in Celtic green.
Really like Kenyon Martin, but a vet min deal? Really unlikely.
If Denver is willing to deal in a sign and trade for Martin or Chandler though, I’d be intrigued.

Chandler all the way
I agree – JR Smith would be a gamble, I’m not crazy about Kenyon Martin, I would mostly hate having to look at that stupid neck-lipstick-kiss tattoo game after game. He would basically be good for 6 extra fouls in my opinion.
Wilson Chandler would be perfect I think and could do a lot of the things that they had planned for with Jeff Green. That would be a great pickup.
Also...on how we stack up in the east
Heat vs Cs
Pg Cs
Sg heat
Sf heat
Pf Cs
C Cs
The heat dominate at the 2 and 3 by a considerable margin. The Celtics dominate at the 1. Assuming JO is healthy for the playoffs the Cs win this match up at the 5. Even if he’s not the Heat don’t have a center. I’ll take KG over Bosh – not just 1 on 1 but because Brandon Bass will be PF behind KG and no one of note will be coming off the bench behind Bosh.
Bulls vs Cs
1 bulls
2 Cs
3 Cs
4 Cs
5 bulls
Derrick Rose is better than Rondo overall. But having Rondo defending Rose would be a huge plus for the Celtics in my opinion. The PG match up goes to the Bulls but not by a vast margin. A 35 year old KG is better than Carlos Boozer at any age. Ray Allen is better than Rip Hamilton at the 2 and Pierce is better than Luoul Deng at the 3 but both of these match ups are competitive. The Bulls have a deep bench probably more so than the Celtics will so this is also a factor.
If I were a betting man – I’d bet on the Heat over the Celtics but would not feel total confidence about it. I’d not be surprised if the Celtics upset them in the playoffs.
I’d bet on the Celtics over the Bulls – the Bulls don’t have anywhere near as much playoff experience and last post season showed that if someone can shut down Derrick Rose (at least somewhat) then the Bulls are at a huge disadvantage offensively.
chandler is a great pickup
If we could turn loose parts into Josh smith (not jr) or Chandler at trade deadline either of those would be great pieces
