Best Pick and Roll in the NBA
The latest Clippers to Hornets trade just lead to the best pick and roll duo in the NBA.
You have Chris Paul, a point guard with pinpoint accuracy who has the ability to knock down the 3 ball, is able to split double teams with ease and was the League Leader last year for alley-hoop passes with over 100, blowing the rest of the competition away by more than 20. He has an uncanny knack for where his big men are and will almost always be able to leave the ball in the exact spot they need it to slam it down.
Then there’s Blake Griffin. The best physical talent in the NBA. Contains amazing hands and is able to finish around the rim with ease. His 63% shooting inside the paint prove he is very efficient when hes low in the box. Just throw it up, and hes going to get it, even if it means he has to jump over a car. Opposing players seem to just get out of the way when he plants two strong steps into the ground hoping they won’t land on a poster in a 12 year old’s room.
There certainly are other duos in the NBA than can make an impact;
Byrant & Gasol, Rose & Boozer, James & Wade, Dirk & Kidd, Amare & Carmelo….
and as far as NBA talent is concerned, the nod goes to James and Wade. However, when it comes to the pick and roll, nobody on this list will come close to Paul and Griffin. Give them a few weeks to get the engine warmed up, then its going to become a thing of beauty. Make sure your ready to explode out of your seats when you see Blake walking up to Paul and setting that pick…then roll..then posterize. Its going to be “Lob City”.
Move over Stockton and Malone,…dare I say it, Paul and Griffin have the potential to be the greatest pick and roll duo of all time.
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.
