Perk was only asking Danny for $6 mil./yr. ($30 mil. in five years).
But that's still a lot considering what most likely will be a lower salary cap after the impending lock-out.
Ultimately, trading the beloved Perk gave our C's greater flexibility in 2012-13.
But is BBD next to leave? He will be a free-agent after this season.
And with Jeff Green's acquisition, will Danny have leverage to "low-ball" BBD? (Ooppsss, pardon that word, can't think of a better word though.)
What will be a fair & reasonable contract offer for BBD? $5-6 mil./yr.?
