Ray Allen to Participate in 3-point Contest
Well, the cat is out of the bag.
Speaking with reporters prior to Friday night's game against the Dallas Mavericks, Ray Allen was (obviously) asked about the 3-point contest. That's when Rajon Rondo came over and asked him if he was in the contest, of which Allen answered, "Yeah. I thought you all knew?"
He thought reporters in the room already heard the news, but they hadn't. According to Allen, he was asked last week in Washington, DC if he would participate, of which he agreed to. That means even if Allen had not made the All-Star team he was going to travel to L.A. with Doc Rivers, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Rondo.
I made the mistake of asking him if he was "up for the challenge" that Pierce presented to him via twitter about going up against him in the contest.
Poor choice of words!
"What do you mean am I up for the challenge?" Ray asked smiling. "Im up for any challenge. I'm always up for a challenge. When would you think I'd ever back down from shooting? Never."
I'll go find my seat now. Thanks.

Or u could blame KG gettin in it with the refs. or missing a dunk, or not stopping Dirk an extra time.
Or you could agree that they play almost the same way, mirror image as we do, many options, ball movement, quality pg setting the table, top 10 D (tho neither team played much tonight)
congrats to Ray on the invite

Fun post JT
So Ray didn’t want to admit he was scared of PP, eh?
You sly dog, like Perry Mason, you tried to coax it out of him.
JT: who is Perry Mason?
I hope Pierce is in it, too
That will be worth watching. He must be, as the reigning champ, eh?
