Wishing They Had Suspended KG
Arguments rage over whether or not KG had a "right" to shove the ref's arm away in the Mavs game, etc. And Cs fans are mostly happy that KG's not going to be suspended. I think we're missing the main point: KG is rapidly slipping out of control, hurting his team and likely to get worse now.
This was not the first recent incident involving KG-running-amok, and it wasn't even the first incident IN THAT GAME (prior to the ref incident, they showed KG purposefully seeking out and fouling Chandler -- as if he'd lost contact with the reality that there are cameras out there). Plus, KG DID commit a flagrant foul according to the NBA (assessed after the fact), which the refs failed to call. Had they called it, it would have been EVEN WORSE for his team. As it was -- that tech cost the team a chance to tie the game in the end (final margin = 4 points).
Altogether, it's the Celtics who are likely to suffer most from the fact that the NBA did NOT suspend KG. Maybe that would have brought him back to reality. Now, he will probably continue his crazy ways -- never apologizing, never even RECOGNIZING that what he does is wrong, that these are OTHER PEOPLE he's shoving around, and potentially injuring. (What's the word when you're egocentric about your whole team?)
I fear KG's heading down a very negative path. Soon, he will tick off not only most NBA fans, and not only the referees... but his own fans too. More important (to most of us, anyway) is that all these ridiculopathies could push #18 just out of our reach (fouls, techs, referee bias).
So stop it already, KG. Grow the hell up.
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

He does need to take it down a notch, but I don’t think he should have suspended. The ref grabbed him and all KG did was move him arm to make sure the ref wouldn’t continue to grab him.
The Once and Future King
The other way around.
I think its the other way around. His fire and intensity and the fear he puts in other teams players will got a long way to getting us number 18.
I've been a KG fan since way back in his 'Sota years...
I’ve always liked his competitiveness, his versatility, his passion, his talent, but I have to admit he has become someone that even I can learn to hate. If he does respect the game, he should respect his opponents and even the officials. He’s becoming a punk, and I hope he’d come to his senses before he really taints his legacy.
And, I wonder what doc’s doing about this? He’s supposed to be the coach, right?
another halarious post
are u kidding me were 38 and 12 and your saying kg is gonna hurt the team. nothing kg is doing will effect what the c’s accomplish this year. those guys love it ask pierce or perks or nate, rondo. trash talking is part of the party, do your thing kg, just dont intentionally hurt someone. other than dat do what u do. wtf is doc gonna do tell him not to do it. doc aint gonna say jack to this guy, dats were the fire starts with kg. once he goes nuts paul and ray ray kno it b ballin time. doc knows he nuts but if he bringing wins he aint sayin jack. stop making a big deal out of nothing. all that shit on the list was a bunch of bullshit besides the foot incident.
LOL - this is freakin' hilarious!

I'm perfectly happy to educate you in both Celtics basketball and blog manners
… in both of which you appear to be sadly deficient. This is as good a subject as any, since (I think) you believe it has no merit. This, even though KG cost his team a shot at winning the Mavs game, got thrown completely out of the Phoenix game, and again tonight created a 4-point margin at the end with his tech. All 3 games = losses.
And the refs are just beginning. If the bad PR continues, soon they’ll start calling taunting fouls on KG too. And more. This problem could EASILY stretch into the playoffs, and could also cost the team a championship. But noooo…. sir m finds it a laughing matter, right? Of course, you have to actually MAKE POINTS when presenting an argument — laughing hysterically to yourself doesn’t work.
Note: This piece was posted the day BEFORE this morning’s post by Jeff. Any points made in that other post should be fair game here. (You’ve already reacted irrationally to my first comment there, btw.)
The point here is clear: I propose that the Cs would suffer most from a rampaging KG: from his techs, fouls and referee backlash. Right now, I have no idea what your arguments would be against that — though whatever they are, I’m quite confident you will be dead wrong. (You usually are when you argue with me.)
I’d present further education, but have no idea what to teach. You haven’t made a case. So make it, if you can.
How many wins would suspending KG gain us?
Yes, this article’s whole entirety is indeed, a laughing matter to me. I freely admit I have no desire to sit and try to tear it down point-by-point because it is like trying to tear down a cloud. The many premises used are all so tenuous and flawed. Who has the time?
So yeah, I am being mean-spirited and simply poking fun and throwing mud.
If you want something constructive, it would be to suggest you simply step back and ask yourself if it is truly others who are ‘blinded’ (as you suggest elsewhere) or maybe yourself who is missing something or perhaps seeing that which is not really there.
