"Rondo’s playing hurt," said Garnett. "He’s hurting. He’s giving us everything he has. He’s grinding. He’s playing countless minutes for us, and he’s not playing like a washed-up guy."

Doc specifically denied that Rondo's hurt
…when asked by a reporter. Go figure.
Rondo
I have watched very closely. In my opinion its a combination of minor injuries and fatigue.
I did notice after the Perk trade he was passing the ball more haphazardly…Probably a little ticked off …and showing some passive aggression.
Its pretty disturbing for me as Rondo is what makes the C’s Go..and this very well may be the last good year of the big three…with a pending lockout and expiring contracts….we may be witnessing the last few moments of beautiful team basketball. For all of you that remember the Celtics dark years…its time to cherish every game…who knows the next time we will see a team like this in Green.
r.e.s.t.
once west has his game legs i’d rest rondo for a 3-5 games let him heal up for the p.l.a.y.o.f.f.s
Let West and Arroyo take up all or most of the minutes for awhile.
Focus on getting Rondo recuperated for the playoffs. (Though I’m sure Doc knows all that.)
Mis-quoted it.
Here is the actualy quote:
“He’s giving us everything he has and he’s grinding. [There’s] nights when he’s playing countless minutes for us and he’s not playing washed-up guys. They’re coming at him and he knows that. But everybody’s banged up and [Rondo’s] no different from that.’’
"I’m going to probably fade to black,’’ he said. "To be honest, I’m not a showman guy. I’m going to fade to black. I don’t know what I will do. I’m an idealist. I have a high drive and I’m very determined. Fade to black, man, like evaporate.’’
I think both of those quotes are legit.

If Rondo is hurt, and he keeps playing, he is going to be hurt for the playoffs
And if Rondo is hurt in the playoffs and plays like he has played the last 3 weeks or so, the Celts are not going to win 18. I would say rest him now, but my guess is that it is the plantar fasciitis that is hurting him, and even if it rests, it could return as soon as he steps back on the court and starts playing again. And again, why does Doc say he is not hurt, but Garnett says he is hurt? Typical Celtics.
remember when perk had plantar fascitis and played? he always lumbers, and that season he lumbered in slo mo. i just get the feeling what we see is what we are going to get with occasional improvements and downsides.
Ditto
I can barely walk lightly when it flares up, nevermind the pounding Rondo is giving his feet…
I think doc will wait if delonte can stay healthy for a 5 game stretch (for once) den sit Rondo for a bit till den Rondo won’t play more den 30 a nite

Please sit Rondo a few games
This makes no sense. We rested Paul, KG and Ray going into last year’s playoffs. We are resting Shaq now for the playoffs. But we are not going to let our quarterback rest up and heal up for the playoffs?
I would rather have the #3 seed and a healthy Rondo than a #1 seed and Rondo playing the way he is right now. He is killing our team defense. We are winning nothing with Rondo playing like this.
I dont get why doc doesent just sit Rondo.
Rondo is a non factor and has been since the all-star break.
West and Arroyo will space the floor more, and be more then capable of filling in for him, we dont play any contenders anytime soon.
In fact, the only games we should realisiticly need Rondo and Shaq in are Chicago/Miami at the end of the season.
