the good news
we win a game. The bad news: troy murphy looks about as in shape as me.
Murphy did look rusty..
Which is expected since this was his 1st game in awhile.
He should be ok with some practice and game time.
He went...
for a dunk with less than a minute remaining. Came down and was immediately in pain when he landed. At first I thought Gortat had something to do with it, but I was wrong.

It looked
like KG’s injury where he went up, came down and then got hurt …hope its not a knee issue or anything serious.
Welcome...
to the greatest sports blog for the greatest franchise ever.

Suns announcers...
were really ticking me off. Calling Rondo classless for taking the shot with seconds remaining and Boston with a sure win. Eddie Johnson kept on rattling about Rondo shooting at a 54% clip at the line and what justice it would be if he missed all 3 free throws (he made 2 of 3). I was telling my son that Rondo would not do anything of that nature unless provoked. The refs called a T on KG before this play and I am sure some Sun’s players made some unnecessary comments.
Tom Leander, the play-by-play guy of the Sun’s also said that some pro players are just arrogant, etc…

+1
in addition i think baby should be okay, looked like KG’s injury earlier this year. He was out like what 2 weeks?
The SoCal Celtic Fan!!!
It definitely was not an ankle. Either a knee or a calf muscle in my opinion.
Hope it is not related to his achilles. He has not been playing well lately, but if he is out for a while, that would be a serious blow to winning a championship. Too bad he had to be in the game with a minute left. If the Celts could have maintained the lead they had, Baby would have been on the bench.
Agreed on the broadcasting
Having to listen to the Suns broadcasting team the whole way. Celtics are “classless”. Garnett getting fired up to defend Steve Nash and stirring the crowd into a frenzy “there’s no place for that in the game”. Rondo shooting at the end and Dudley overdefending for no reason at the last second “wow, these guys are arrogant, huh?” I’ve never heard the boys so demonized. Not even the Chicago announcers were this disrespectful and delusional. I mean the C’s aren’t infallible, but jeez. Way to become what you hate. Murphy needs some time to shake off the rust and the bench hopefully will stabilize a bit with Shaq’s return. Hope Baby’s leg issue is minimal.

Slow Gather
I noticed that too, more of a pump fake than a slow gather though upon further review. Seems like he is not used to getting the ball so quickly and so perfectly from Rondo that he thinks he has to draw the contact instead of going straight up in those situations…
