Celtics accomplish small Goals on the way to Banner 18

With the Celtics victory on Saturday vs. New Orleans Hornets and the Knicks loss vs. Milwaukee Bucks, they have now clinched the Atlantic Division title for the 2010-2011 season... This is the 5th time in 10 years they've accomplished this goal, all 5 coming under Doc Rivers, and 4 of 5 coming since Garnett and Allen arrived in 2008. This small goal wont "WOW" anyone around Celtic Nation, but it is an accomplishment and it deserves to be honored.

Also with a win tonight vs. the New York Knicks, the Celtics will win their 50th game of the year, they only won 50 games all last year

Kevin Garnett is 5 points away from passing Elgin Baylor on the scoring list, should be accomplished tonight

Statisticallly the Celtics are supposed to win 12 of their last 14 games of the season (which starts tonight), but it is likely they wont, but an 11-3 record the rest of the way will give them 60 wins on the year

Doc Rivers won his 500th game of his coaching career Saturday vs. the New Orleans Hornets, only 27 coaches have done so, he is now the 3rd winningest coach in franchise history

Next on the list is Banner 18, hope we can hang it in the rafters come June

Congratulations Team Celtics, We Love You!!!!
