Okay let me begin by saying this is only speculation on my part but does anyone else think that the offense has begun to look a little one dimensional at this point? Too much iso? Teams figuring out exactly where Ray and Paul are coming off to look for the ball? I just look at the roster and I don't think this team needs to rely quite as heavily on the defensive end of the floor as it has in the big 3 era. For the first time the celtics have two point guards that can create off the dribble. (That is Carlos' primary talent and the reason he was so ineffective in MIA) Green BBD and Delonte are very versitile on the offensive end, all three can shoot drive and post fairly effectively. Counting the O'Neals we have three centers who all have the ability to be effective on the offensive end something Perk could never do. (And I loved Perk for his entire career) Throw in Murph for a completely different look for a big off the bench and the obvious offensive capabilitites of the Big 4 and that is a team that should flat out score the ball. I know defense wins championships but as I said I'm only speculating Doc and the coaching staff are putting too much emphasis on the defensive end of the court. Just take a look at this team its not 08 with Posey, P.J. and Leon. This is a team that could win a lot of games scoring the ball. I'm not saying go all Run n Gun Suns style here but focussing on the offensive end may be a good way to get some rythm back. Its a lot more fun to score the ball than it is to play D.
