I'm Having a Rick Pitino Moment

"...all the negativity that's in this town sucks...And it stinks. It makes the greatest town, greatest city in the world, lousy."

Most of us are all too familiar with that quote.  That's how I'm starting to feel about many of the fans who comment on the main Celtics Blog.

Even though the team may not read this blog, what we say does have an effect on them.  I'm sure many of the fans who post comments do attend games, so if they are negative, then they bring that negativity into The Garden with them.

We have to stop focusing on every little thing that the team does wrong and start focusing on being positive for OUR team.  The team is going through a rough patch and needs our support right now.  They don't need boos and they certainly don't need to be told how much they suck.  True fans know better than that.

The blame game doesn't help either.  Saying that Rondo should get full blame for a loss because he missed a shot at the end of the game is irrational. Everyone misses shots during a game.  If that's the case, why not blame Ray Allen for missing the 3-pointer in the first quarter?  Or how about all those missed free throws?

No single player is responsible for what the Celtics are going through.  Every single one of them has to take responsibility and step up.  The way I see it, each of them has to give 100% and they are more than capable of that.

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.
