Hoping for another Miracle Run? Lightning don't Strike Twice!

Last season, when everybody counted us out and thought we were dead, the Celtics came storming into the playoffs and pulled upset after upset before running out of gas thus losing the championship in the last 6 minutes of game 7 vs you-know-who.

After being no.1 for the first two months, the celtics stumbled to the 4th seed in the east, which meant they would only enjoy home-court advantage in the first round. But that didn't stop them from destroying last year's east powerhouses cleveland and orlando, stealing HCA by beating them on their homecourt. In the Finals, they stole one more game at staples but eventually fell short (not because of Perk's loss, I still blame Doc for game 7). This season, the circumstances leading up to the playoffs are almost the same - we're on top for most of the time, then suddenly our game drops and we (most likely) find ourselves scrambling to get HCA. If we eventually fall to # 3, again, we're only starting at home in the 1st round, and the road to banner 18 will be largely fought, well, on the road!

But this ain't last year!  Nobody's gonna sleep on us anymore. The competition has definitely upgraded. And the Celtics? Well, after this wild rollercoaster ride these past few weeks, I don't know what to make of them anymore. Sure, you can blame the injuries, you can blame the big three's age, you can blame 'the trade,' you can even blame  the loss of Thibs, but I bet even the players, Doc, DA, and the so-called experts don't understand just what the heck is going on.

I personally have been trying to keep the faith even if we have been losing bad to really bad teams and the team plays really, well... bad! I've been trying to stay positive, hoping there'd be some catalyst that would turn things around just in time for the homestretch. But after tonight's loss against  'em South Beach SOB's (pardon the expletive, i just think it kinda rhymes well), my love for this team is barely hanging by a thread. It's not about the losses, it's about the effort! Do they still want IT? Do they still have IT in them? Or is this just a deja vu? So, when the playoffs come, can we count on these Celtics to turn it up again like they did last year? And if so , can we expect the opposition to fold like last year? I don't know, but somehow I still care, I just don't know if these Celtics still do..

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.
