We're not in deep [doo-doo], We're just deep.

Jermaine O'Neal was handpicked by the Celtics to be our starting center. He is better than Perkins in almost every imaginable way. Better scorer, free throws, better rebounder, better shot blocker, better passer, draws more charges and even moves quicker on defense. Perkins was a great Celtic and I love the guy, but Jermaine is simply in another league. He's only 32 and he's already a 6 time all-star. A perfect fit with our veteran team. He's been very unlucky with his injuries and the timing of his surgery. Give him some time to get his groove back on offense and you'll forget all about Perkins.

It's not Shaq or bust. Shaq wasn't even part of our plan. HE went to Doc about joining the Celtics, NOT the other way around. He's been a pleasant surprise and anything he brings will be extra topping. Compared to 2008, every single one of our position is improved. Big 4 and Baby having career years. JO better than Perk. West, Green, Kristic and Shaq are all starters. Arroyo, Murphy and Pavlovic were starters. Wafer and Bradley are the best 14 and 15th players in the NBA.

The beginning of the year, everyone was saying the Celtics were the deepest team in the league. We traded Perkins, Marquis, Nate, Semih, and Luke for Green, Kristic, Murphy, Pavlovic and Arroyo. That makes us deeper than we have ever been. Danny has done an unbelievable job rounding up the talent. Let's see if Doc can whip them into a championship team.

How does SHAUGHNESSY have a job? The guy approaches basketball like as a casual fan. His analysis of the trade is: I didn't like the trade, and I still don't. The fact that the Celtics have slumped before the playoffs every single year of the big 3 era is ignored and our slump this year is because of the trade. Last year, Lakers lost like 7 of their last 12 games and went on to win the championship. Celtics were worse and we went to the finals. It's just veteran players getting mentally and physically ready for a tough playoffs. They're not 20 year olds who can bring it every game in the regular season and still be fresh for the playoffs.

Lakers, Spurs, Celtics and Orlando will be the final 4. I think Orlando will upset Chicago in 7. Celtics will beat the Lakers in the Finals. What are your final 4 predictions?
