So...........apparently the Timberwolves are taking offers on ideas for their number #2 pick and apparently are wanting some veteran talent and help. Although I wouldn't want KG any other place than Boston, this could make sense for both teams. Minnesota would not mind picking up KG's contract since it will expire in one year and the Celtics would definitely love to get their hands on (the most ready player in the draft), Derrick Williams, as well as pick up a player from Minnesota.
Of course the numbers are always hard to factor into a situation like this, but considering that Ainge has nothing to deal with, he might bite on the chance to free up some money and get a dynamic young player in Williams, that could play right away.
Obviously hard to replace the defensive and team cohesiveness that KG brings to the Celts, but at this point Ainge will have to take some risks in order to make the impossible happen (18th banner next year with the same crew).
