Trade
Here's a few trades that would make the Celtics relevant for the next 10 years...
Celtics Trade: The 25th pick, a fill in player/Trade compensation from Daniels to Minnesota for Anothony Randolph
Gives the Wolves cap space to pick up a vet and with Love and Beasley being RFAs next year, hard to keep both and Randolph plus Randolph should be playing more. KG can mentor and set him up to be the heir apparent. Only 21 and is a freak athletically. Also with the 25th pick the Timberwolves could pick whatever position they don't fill with the 2nd.
Celtics sign and trade two possibilities: #1 Sign and trade Big Baby for 6.5 million along with J. O'Neal to Philly for Andre Iguodala. Iggy and Ray could share time and Iggy has great D and is a big 2/3 guard body that can do many things-create his own shot, drive to the hole, knock down jumpers, throw it down, etc. Philly needs to have a young big man to back up Elton Brand and Baby could do that. Gives them another young guy to go with the rest in Philly, also opens the 2 spot for the young wings pushing Iggy out of town. O'Neal gives them a reliable vet Center and makes the deal work. Would hate to see him go.
Sign and Trade #2: Sign and trade Big Baby to Denver for JR Smith (also would have to sign and trade). Straight up one for one player deal. JR Smith is a freak athletically and gives Boston a "young" vet at only 25 and a running mate for Rondo and Green in the future. Shoots the ball well, athletic, can throw it down, will buy into the D and share the ball game playing with guys like Pierce, Allen, and KG. Even with his problems, everyone can start fresh. Smith would be part of the future. Big Baby fills a need in Denver for a young PF and he would finally get his shot to start, unless Denver brings back K-Mart.
With the Philly deal, obviously Boston would be down a Center...Bring back Kristic to be the #2 and sign either Dalembert, Oden, Kwame Brown, etc to start for cheap. Either way we get a one-two punch at the C spot with a D minded/rebounding starter and Kristic's offense of the bench with the 2nd unit. Rework some of the Big 3's contracts to create some room of course.
Lineup possiblity
PG Rondo/West SG Ray/Iggy or Smith SF Pierce/Green PF KG/Randolph C Dalembert (or another FA)/Kristic or even O'Neal if we did the Denver deal
Bench: Bradley, Wafer, a vet/young cheap big, 2nd Rd pick, and a D-League guy (Sims, Lasme, Gallon)
2nd Round picks: If we trade our first, we need to look to move up in the 2nd round or possibly make a few Draft pick deals to move back into the first. Targets should be a future big (Jordan Williams, Justin Harper, Trey Tompkins, Lucas Nogueira, or Keith Benson). Guards in the 2nd DeAndre Liggins or Scotty Hopson. Williams I've heard mixed feelings about, Harper is a great spread the floor/shooting big, Nogueira is an absolute FREAK and only 18 years old. Heard both Liggins and Hopson are ideal 2/3s with possibilites of being great in the NBA with some work. Both shoot lights out and are big bodies that can create.
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

Nice
But your dreaming. Davis for Smith straight up Denver arent that stupid. And Davis + J O’Neal for the 76ers young star player. The 76ers will think its a prank caller and not Ainge on the other line.
yes..
..but, forget about Iggy. we dont need him with pierce and green. Jermaine will only play for a ring. not phila.
But JR wants out of Denver and he’s fallen out of the grace of George Karl and Iggy is getting pushed out of philly. If philly wants to buy O’Neal out thats fine or if he wants to retire thats fine too. Davis for Iggy would be the “dream”…but JR for Davis could be reality. A lot closer to reality than Baby and Kristic to Denver for Nene.
i like
i like these trades. The most important , to me, is the randolph one.
JR Smith
No team wants Davis or J O’Neal maybe Waffer with one or the other … or maybe Allen and Davis for JR and Harrington…….
Doesn't Make Sense
The Philly Trade makes no sense from their standpoint! You have to be kidding?
JR Smith is a bad guy? He has more baggage than American Airlines!
What is the infatuation with this guy? Have you looked into his off the court issues?
With all due respect...
Anthony Randolph is the diet Eddy Curry of the NBA.

they like affalo
randolph with the right motivation could be kg jr
mle dalembert
resign kristic
2nd rnd keith benson
I LIKE IT.. get it done
Yes I’ve done the homework and looked into JR Smith’s off the court issues and as far as I’ve researched all the guy has done has gotten into a few car accidents and had his license suspended. The infatuation is that he is 25, ATHLETIC, can SCORE and provide the spark off the bench. And Anthony Randolph is a freak of nature. PF that can shoot, dribble, rebound, swat, throw it down, etc, etc. He could well be the KG Jr. and heir apparent. And as Jay said, Denver likes Afflalo and he will take Smith’s spot.
Also the Philly deal makes pretty good sense for both teams. Philly has no back up for Elton Brand at the 4…Davis is young and that’s what they need. Iggy is being pushed out by Evan Turner and Thad Young and it appears Philly fans are tired of him. I think in all the Philly deal would be tough, but the Denver deal could get done straight up. Maybe throw in a 2nd Rd pick with Davis. A lineup of Rondo/West, Allen/Smith Pierce/Green, KG/Randolph, and FA C/Kristic would be unreal.
Smith
Trust me- Smith has more than a few accidents- you have not done your homework
Davis $6.5m?
If BB had played the 2nd half of the season the way he finished the first he would have had the chance at the MLE. So $6.5m is way above his pay grade. Randolph may be a palatable option, but he has a $4m q/o in 2013 and they need that cap space in order to make a run at Howard or another big free agent. You have to wonder why C. Johnson was given a 10 day contract and not Tiny Gallon when the rash of injuries at the 5 broke out. Is Tiny Gallon getting key minutes in a playoff game? Come’on now.
